I’ve been looking to do this for a while and have bottled out up to now. I’m looking at a bit of kit at the moment but still think pre coding might be an issue. The kit I’m looking at I believe gets the code from the BCM so bypasses the need for pre programming. Definitely worth a try.

It will definitely pay for itself in the long run given the amount that you do. I'm not sure I can justify the cost to buy something like that. But I'll keep an eye on your channel if you buy it.

That’s totally gutting you couldn’t code that key yourself mate. But all in all least the black one is good to go now with fresh MOT

It's a bad day if you get a car without the remote, unless it's been stolen and recovered.

So a functioning remote for £75 stupidly cheap. Some main dealers been known to ask £262. Did you get price if he handled it all instead the locksmith?!

Hes probably not far off 100 or just over I guess. I should have asked. I want to say that i hope I don't have to get more keys cut because it eats into profit, but least i do have a contact now.

@@carsalvage101 May as well tell you I got replacement flat blade key from main dealer foc as car bought from them didn't have. Made point of putting reg in email subject. They coded to one of my previous cars and had to do it again. Wasn't amused.

I know this is not even related to the content of this video, but, when cutting the key is more expensive than buying the key: you know the economy is twisted..... Just sayin'.

So a £10 key from China didn't work? what a shocker 😂 But to be fair £75 was still bloody cheap? Think I would try to get a pre-coded key next time and try again, depends on the costs of a pre-coded key though I guess
@carsalvage1012 жыл бұрын
Na the key works fine :) don't diss the key :) it just needs pre coding to the ECU it seems.
