My child fell off the bed around a year old, I was a young mother, turned 18 the day I had him, and I was going to college, and working full time. I accidentally fell asleep with him in my bed while he was taking a nap, and he fell off the bed. I immediately heard him crying, and I jumped up started crying, called my mom and we were at the hospital that was 20 min away in about 12 min and I was a wreck. Drs take a lot of things into consideration when a child comes in injured! When my eldest was 2 I was holding her baby sister in one arm on my hip and I had my eldest by her hand. I was walking her to change her nappy and she all of a sudden changed her mind and dropped herself to the floor! When that happened her elbow popped! So we went straight to the er and I was holding it together until they took her to examine her, they asked me what happened, I told them and I broke down! Her elbow popped right back in and they brought her back to me. The dr explained that the injury coincided with my story, a nurse rubbed my arm and told me it was okay and not my fault “these things happen”! I was so relieved and grateful but I was so scared that I wouldn’t be believed. The nurse said it wasn’t just that the injury/story matched, she said they can usually tell but my girl had clean clothes, she was a healthy weight, fresh brushed hair and clean fingernails. So I would say in this case not only did the injury not match the story but other things were observed by the hospital staff.
@corynm923 жыл бұрын
A similar thing happened to a friend of mine! Her husband was holding their 1 year old daughter's hand while they were walking and she tripped and her elbow popped out. He rushed her to the ER (my friend didn't go due to COVID and she was pregnant) but they were worried about CPS - like any normal parent would be. He even asked a nurse about CPS or the cops or something (I think he's a nervous talker 🤣). The nurse laughed and said they see that kind of injury a lot and they knew his daughter was very well taken care of. She even made a comment about keeping their "other child safe" by having mom stay home... he didn't realize the nurse had seen him on FaceTime talking to his wife, letting her know how their daughter was and asking her how she was feeling. The professionals are trained to know what abuse looks like versus an accident.
@calamitynatalie85903 жыл бұрын
@@corynm92 Definitely! They told me as well that this type of injury is really common when a kid runs out into the road, parent grabs their arm, elbow pops and off to the hospital. As they said the popped elbow is better than being hit by a car!

@@calamitynatalie8590 exactly! Sometimes accidents happen. After all, kids are kids. When my kids were younger my 18 month old showed up with what was essentially road rash all on one side of his face on day 3(!) of our new daycare. I was terrified they were going to think I was abusing him. When I dropped him off I explained to his teacher that he fell in the driveway and that's why he looked like the Phantom of the Opera. 🤣 It took them no time at all to figure out that he was a walking disaster. He had an ouch report (a little note explaining an injury or accident that occurred during the day) at least once a week when I picked him up. 🤣🤷♀️

Then everyday I would tell them there was no need to apologise. She is having fun, I knew how hard it was to try to stop her, she was safe and well. Then she was diagnosed with autism the next year and we found that it was the feeling of the wind wooshing past her ears and through her hair she liked! So we bought her a fan!

We didn't know since she started going by the name "Alisha" and we hadn't seen the episode yet. It all fell apart when my mother went to visit my grandmother and while they were talking, they saw her on the TV. At first they were laughing because they thought she'd be on for some drama or baby dad situation. They stopped laughing pretty quick. My uncle is special needs so it was decided not to tell him and to let the relationship end naturally as it did. I believe she still has rights to visit her kids but cannot have them unsupervised, however they are safer. Last I heard, she was having a hard time getting a job and she doesn't have a car so she has to ask people to take her places.

She said the child's head went towards the tickle, not away. But with how she demonstrated the tickle, on the right side, according to her story and her words, the baby jerked towards the tickle which would have been the right side of the head, but the injury occured on the left. Dan was pointing out that HER story wasn't plausible, not that the situation wasn't, but that she lied. He was making the point that her STORY wasn't consistent with the injury, not that tickling couldnt have caused it. If it really happened, she would have said "jerked away", or that she tickled her left side and the baby jerked towards her. In her words, the baby jerked TOWARDS her as she tickled right side. Maybe it was poor choice of words, but she's lying about how she tickled her or the baby's reaction or something and that's all he's pointing out.

I’ve seen many babies fall and not get concussions or broken bones. I’m not sure why people abuse their children because they WILL Grow up and remember what you did.

Begs the question, what happens in Brandy's childhood to make her this way?
@Bri-d2k5u2 жыл бұрын
If my baby had a life threatening injury, I think I would completely break down talking about it or thinking about it. It would be absolutely devastating. But I'm a very protective mom. My oldest son had a lump come up on the outside of his throat a few years ago. The moment I seen it I completely freaked out, thinking my baby had cancer or something. I rushed him to the hospital and the Dr ran several tests and it came back he had strep throat and it caused his lymph node to swell. Just hearing he was going to be ok made me break down again because I was so relieved and happy. I couldn't imagine what a wreck id be if my baby's skull was fractured. Anyway,her lack of emotion alone, tells me a lot about her

She definitely looks annoyed like a typical liar and narcissist , they absolutely hate being held responsible for their actions or anything close to it

My 3-year-old son rolled off the bed at nearly 5 months old, and I took him to the hospital the following morning. I called his pediatrician the moment he fell. Due to the pandemic, I couldn’t go to the ED. Took him to the pediatrician, and bubs was fine. Was I terrified of ACS removing my boy? Yes; they were already in my business due to disability, but I still took him. She had a lot to hide, hence why she didn’t take her daughter to the ER.

there is no forgetting or forgiveness in this case. She has to pay for it . Why put the children into the world . Those guys are leaving anyway. She can't have any more children because they can can't help it if it's too preventable. one would have to be legally forbidden to give birth to her. irresponsible 🤔😡

This woman knew every second of her abuse. She knows she was an abuser. Lock her up and throw away the key. Rob knows something bad happened. He should have intervened immediately.

if it was only a bump on the head, maybe her story would check out. But fracturing a skull, especially with how spongey and resilient kids' skulls are? No way.
@MorganPruett Жыл бұрын
Right? Kids fall and injure themselves often but it takes a lot of force to fracture a baby’s skull!
