I was just giddy when I saw the title. When I first subscribed I requested just such content as this and you did it beautifully! As I would expect! There are some of us over 50 who still have nice figures like your mothers and still want to look classy and chic and fashionable all while knowing we don't want to look like we're 18. Yes you showed how beautifully different the pieces can be styled as we age. I have been doing just that by watching your videos and translating them to my closet and style . I especially liked the first outfit and would wear that dress both ways only not with distressed jeans. I think you may have found a new niche not done by anyone else! Yay, another great video with your mom! I love these thrifted episodes you two do. Fun fact, Equipment, Joie, and Current/Elliot are all owned by Serge Azria of Dutch LLC. I feel like Joie and Equipment have the same quality - both their silk pieces are to die-for. But I have noticed that in the second hand market Joie has a lesser resale value in comparison to Equipment, so if you're on a tight budget Joie is a smart option.

I never knew joie and equipment were by the same brand. I would never buy either new, but you are right at the deals that can be found on silk joie blouses. I think if you are petite or pear shaped like I am joie actually has a nicer fit.

A large portion of my wardrobe is second hand. Earlier this year I had a couple people turn their nose up at it and I simply told them that the thrift shops near my work are in a very wealthy area so I can live quite luxuriously off of their leftovers. The ironic thing is the next week one of them was gushing over a suede pencil skirt I was wearing and wanted to know where I got it and I had the satisfactions telling them it was from the Salvation Army.

Hello Mom! love it:) My Lovely Mother cannot abide actually going into a thrift store (or shopping, really), but she adores all the surprises I find for her, in particular her favorite kinds of summer capri pants - and I adore shopping FOR her - she's always in my mind when I go thrifting. I think that blue Equipment blouse is gorgeous, and I love that the blue IS a little different than a straight navy. My mom happened to be watching this with me this a.m. - she called it 'Chinese blue'.

Loved all the looks! So heartwarming to see you and your lovely mother get along so famously. My mother and I were the same size for a long time. I wore her hand me downs. 60’s suits a la Chanel, Chinese silk dresses and reversible jackets. I still own some of them. Recently received a pair of ecru linen bell bottoms and a red french cuffed fitted shirt with 60’s big pointy collar and my father’s danish cuff links that I have gifted him. The clothes came out of our garden shed. My sister, mother and I couldn’t remember to whom these items have belonged . I enjoyed wearing them. Thank you Alyssa. The black leather pants....SWOON. Your mother ROCKED these pants with the leopard blouse...GORGEOUS! I loved how you rolled the leather pants up to give it a more jogger pant look. The color of the shirt dress may be close to the color that is hot on the fall trend list...Merlot Wine! I like styling shirt dresses with pants as well. NOW I KNOW WHY YOU HAVE A LOVE FOR SHOES! I received the CHAN LU clutch (perfect with a dress I have) and a pair of faux leather brown pair of pants from Free People. It did not have a front zipper and I am hoping they work for me as I find it so difficult to create a streamlined look with front zipper pants unless they are a fine silk or similar type fabric. I loved this!!!!!!!. I think it's an amazing idea to style people of different age with the same clothes. Its momentary expands your audience!!! People in their 50-60 can relate right away. It would be great to switch the look as well. Seeing mom wearing the same clothes in more edgy way is a great visual. When people can deside for themselves what they would like to do. Even better yet, have a spectrum of adjustments from very classical elegant look to more edgy modern take on the same clothes. You are so good at what you do!!! Loved it.
