"She is forever 14." My God. That broke my heart. And I love this dad, he is so powerful and so on point. His fury is palpable. People should get to see and feel the pain, the anguish, the fury these parents have suffered. They shouldn't ever have to be silenced or restricted again. May the families and survivors find peace and justice in spite of the miscarriage of justice that has occurred.

His disrespect is sitting there like a coward trying to portray himself as young and innocent like his defense team told him too. He is also incapable of remorse, he only sees other humans as cardboard cut outs that he manipulates to get what he wants, not humans with value in their own right. Nothing he does comes out of a place of genuine care as he is not capable of feeling that. He only mimicks emotions to achieve certain goals he has.

Wow - I'm surprised all that came out of this father. He was so quiet as his wife spoke. Then he started with saying he hadn't planned to speak at all until that morning. And, he said so much, so clearly. If not thought out, it seemed thought out and prepared. These families are true survivors and amazing people. Each speech has contributed so much to honor not only their child but to also explain how shameful, disrespectful and unprofessional the defense team was throughout the trial. Nikolas can't take back what he did, but at least he has shown some respect. If he's a sociopath then he may not have the capacity to feel remorse. The young woman who spoke for Joaquin. Her testimony really got me emotionally. She is young, beautiful, well spoken, and in so much pain, but stood up there with such kindness, heart. Her words are the ones that will stick with Nikolas. All the others throwing hate at him he won't remember. He will remember her and if he feels anything, her words will hurt him the most knowing that people did care about him. I have a hard time not feeling for him because something went wrong somewhere. Not saying his mom or the system failed him, but something inside him that wasn't able to be fixed. He's not a bad looking kid. No weight issue or no disfiguration or handicap. No reason he shouldn't have had friends, so it's something inside him. Who knows but these families are truly beautiful. I don't think I would have the strength they have shown and all that they have done to help the community to prevent something like this from happening again.

Beautiful speeches Mrs Guttenberg and Mr Gutenberg, thank you for making the decision to give a statement. Thank you for making him take off his mask, he didn’t deserve to hide behind it. The defense team doesn’t deserve to hide behind “court etiquette” and be shielded from the feelings, anger and pain of the victims families. Their actions during this trial brought this on, there is a vast difference in providing a client a defense, which they are entitled to, and laughing and being chummy with them while being disrespectful to the families of the victims. Lol that guy is unhinged. Anyone who praises Pelosi is clearly fooked up in the head . All that misdirected anger at the defense team is laughable and cringe. The system only works due to they did their job.

The defense team acted in a very unprofessional manner. So disgusting. The middle finger incident and the numerous disrespectful comments made are just despicable. I think the worst thing was the defense closing statement with the HUGE LIE saying that the shooter did not receive adequate mental health services. He's received more mental health services than anyone I know. Such lies spewed by the defense. There's a special place in Hell for the defense team right alongside their client.

she has that strong love of a mom energy. you better be a good child because healthy discipline is almost scarier. No need for her to yell, she just speaks gracefully and confidently knowing ALL these family’s are speaking to him. He probably forget what it was like for a mom to correct him.And that Fathers energy is something that animal never experienced. I loved how they called him out with such fierce yet they carry respect EVEN for those who don’t deserve an inch. if you murder sometimes loved ones you can expect that if u survive arrest, your gonna face them.it’s disgusting and terrifying to watch this entire court case and not see any remorse for all of the children and adults he killed.NOT AN OUNCE.when he spoke he was more saddened by not being able to watch TV than the 34 physical people he hunted. The HUNDREDS of people effected by this event, the family’s ,friends, loved ones all the students, everyone deeply affected. Which is sad and very narcissistic. Everyone in this nation and decades to come will remember them.their faces, and the gruesome evidence of sweet innocent humans that were barely starting life murdered caused by such a sick evil person. I’m shocked he didn’t get the DP. He will get prison justice so that’s the only thing that calms many. I’m glad she spoke so gracefully for their daughter, jaime. The Father has such strength.I know Jaime felt protected and loved by these two.All of the organizations I have checked out.I see ALL these parents of SO many different shootings traveling the world tho reopen a wound& re live the death of their precious loved ones. I really hope and pray these wonderful strong family’s get even just a little peace although not expected.they’ll never forget this, those that died won’t ever get that chance. To live or grow. It very sad that politicians and the people that should care, don’t.it should be a world wild problem but it’s swept under the rug.my only comfort is Their with the Lord Jesus Christ in his kingdom of heaven.❤️.

@Padraig Warren exactly. Guilty or not we would want someone to stand in our corner if we were on trial.

@Padraig Warren keep in mind, it isn’t just guilt or innocence. An attorney is an advocate, which in a death penalty case means they put on mitigation to attempt to offset any aggravating factors.
