It's true. The defense team was appointed to do a job, but it doesn't excuse them laughing and joking with the defendant belittling the actions he has done. It does not excuse them giving the middle finger to the cameras as if they are playing games too. The defense team showed no compassion for the victims and this mom told them off. Thank you Mrs Oliver for putting them in their place

Not for defending him but for their treatment towards the families and disrespecting the Court and laughing in Court…Un-freaking-believable!!! She’s right!! He’s not broken, she’s the one that’s broken because of him. Her son didn’t do anything to deserve this!! On the other hand he, the killer, did and does!!!

She was really gutsy to curse every single defense lawyer by name, and with an extraordinary attitude of a woman scorned. Then she actually went on to curse the lawyer's children. It is no wonder that after her incredible speech she was given a high five by one of the family as she walked back to the pews. That high five scene was not shown in this video but its on other channels. That high five gesture was really like the icing on the cake to her speech.

Parents have no reason to insult the defense. The defense is just doing their job, these people are frustrated, but that does not give them the right to insult the defense's children. They have nothing to do with the case. For doing your job you would like them to insult your children.

I can appreciate the families for using their forum as an opportunity to vent as I imagine it brings some level of comfort, albeit minimal when considering the loss of their loved ones. I just don't see the point (other than to vent) of talking to the killer directly. In my honest opinion, anyone evil enough to ruthlessly kill 17 people the way he did, isn't in the slightest going to have remorse, guilt or even be moved by these distraught family members statements. Not even in the slightest bit. I believe this level of evil only experiences regret once they are in hell.
