I dont think this is what the song's about, but it gives me, personally, the vibe of how the more you grow, the more the magic and joy of Christmas is slowly stripped away. Christmas gets more and more stressful for me each year, and just now hearing this made me legit wanna cry.

I have clinical depression, i have since I was 13 after something happened around Christmas time tht gave me ptsd. I relate so much to this song. My grandmother died two years ago, my grandfather was lonely and decided he would start dating my grandmothers sister, so now holidays are awkward and painful. Especally Christmas, as we would all go to my grandmothers house, but now its simply to painful to be in that house for more than 10 minutes without breaking down in sobs. Christmas sucks now.
