Scott, the very first dress that you held up came on a Barbie doll named Francine( she had a blond bob) I had that! One of my favorites! Brings back so many memories! I’m just a few years older than you( 61.. well maybe more!) I absolutely love the lamp! You gotta find a place for it!

I love how you decorate your house. It's so reminds me of my grandma's bungalow in Montgomery Alabama. She lived to be almost 100 years old and the decor never changed so things became antique within her lifetime almost. Looks like walking through a museum I loved it, every moment and every item.

What a wonderful collection of the Fostoria Colony pieces. I have my parents pieces that were a gift to them at their 1949 wedding. I use them for all holidays and special dinners. Memories ❤

Love the pattern glass dog dish. It’s a real winner. And that lamp would be fantastic in the right place. I have an old 1930’s lamp that was from home and unfortunately my mother painted it green. So I bought a chintz shade for it. It probably had a shade similar to yours originally. My mother hated old things and would modernize things.

Hi Scott-The lamp and shade are made for each other! I get what you mean with the scale of the lamp for your living room. I saw a massive antique sideboard in a thrift store the other day and I was trying to imagine the size of the room it had been in! When you showed the Barbie clothes, I saw some outfits I coveted as a kid. The black dress and white ruffle sheer hat with black ribbon made up the "After 5" outfit, the white "leather" jacket was part of her "Winter Holiday" outfit, and the gold brocade dress coat with fur trim had a matching dress and was called "Evening Splendor." My sister has saved it all, thank goodness!

BARBIE CLOTHES!!! Idk why but I’ve always had a thing about that. Literally was cleaning this morning and decided to put this pearl necklace away instead of using it on a display thing. Only got into jewelry a year ago so I just noticed it was graduated. I thought, “wow, this is old & detailed.” The old clothes are the best but there’s a lot I should buy. Im just too cheap but one day I will. Last time I checked, the prices doubled because of the Barbie movie so I was waiting for the prices to drop back down which hopefully it does 🤞🏼 28:13 I have that one! ☺️ I only have hand me downs (I’m an only child) so my Barbie clothes must’ve been from my mom’s and my aunts or something. (And I’m .. 35. Forgot my bday was yesterday I dont celebrate it and I didn’t know my age for awhile but that’s a whole other story😅)

Hold Barbie doll cloths lol my friend Val, is sitting here with me watching you and you mom and step dad going through all the Barbie cloths and she’s shouting at the tv saying what all the cloths were called and used with. She said you guys need to coordinate all the outfits. I would say to get zip bags to put each outfit in, so they will be kept together. Separate and group like items together like all long dresses together put all short dresses together and so forth. I have a collection of the Dawn Dolls and keep them in those clear plastic shoe boxes to keep them all organized and I label each box whats inside them and you can stack them nicely on a shelf. Just an idea!kudos to you mom and step dad for helping you with such a large project. Hope you all have a great rest of your day.
