@@wkadalie I think it was both a risk and a way to stall for time. She knew that Tiffany was going to die if she didn’t do something to get them to turn their attentions elsewhere so she revealed herself. On top of that there was no guarantee that Anacostia was actually going to succeed and give Scylla access to the seeds/works again. So it was sort of a mix of things. A risk showing she trusted Anacostia as well as a way to show how she didn’t want Tiffany to die and a way to stall for time. It was great and I loved it

Scylla has cemented herself as one of the great all time characters. Great backstory, complex motives with being capable of both pure evil on a massive scale and legitimate self sacrifice for merely one soul. Not to mention she's uniquely gorgeous. Bravo.

@@noravenditti3144 Amalia would usually stop in her interviews because she's trying to translate her thoughts in the English language and I think it's cute. I'm from the Philippines so I get it. There should be more bilingual/multilingual actors in Hollywood. English is nice but other languages in the world needs to be promoted too. It would be so lovely to hear Scylla talking in Swedish, Norwegian, or German.

I loved getting to see Scylla in action. From the almost shark like grin when the power goes out, to the slow walk. She is dangerous, there is no doubt about that. She says 'I am the Spree' because she is what they embody, a witch who is tired of her people being hurt and killed and willing to do whatever it takes to protect her own. She knew going into this that if Anacostia didn't hurry up she'd be in a very bad position because of the dampeners, but she did not hesitate. That's also why I love when later in the episode (no spoilers really) she says 'not our daughters' because she isn't just saying it to mock, she's saying it as 'you will not touch our daughters again'. This was such a good episode.

I love the not our daughters line because the Camarilla use that rhetoric to galvanize their followers. Hiding behind the lie of fighting for your own. When Scilla says it she is showing it is a double edged sword. A weapon the spree have always used.

Sorry to be THAT guy, but consider this: the Spree have a problem with the Army, so they kill...mostly civilians? Civilians who didn't do anything to them, and have NO CHOICE but to send their witch children to the Army! If you have a problem with the Army, you attack the Army, NOT civilians - but it's just so much easier to hurt those who can't fight back, isn't it? (Yes, I know the Spree fight the Army, too, I'm saying leave the civilians alone! Have they no respect for non-combatants?) Also, the widespread fear and hatred for the Spree helps the Camarilla to recruit for their cause, leading to the widespread political power the Camarilla hold in secret. The Spree are unintentionally HELPING the Camarilla to kill all witches! Granted, they did not know the Camarilla were back, but didn't they think their attacks would turn the public against ALL witches? What was the end goal of it all? To unite witch-kind against the civilians, and fight a world war against them all? IF the witches even won that war, were they going to enslave the civilians afterward? Or just wipe them out? Do tell! And now we're supposed to CHEER for the Spree operative Scylla, the mass murderer of innocents? PROUD of killing men, women AND CHILDREN who did her and her cause no harm at all? Scylla has likely killed more children than all of the Camarilla present at the party combined! (difficult to be certain, but likely) Keep in mind, it was a PUBLIC shopping mall she bombed! Over 1,600 dead! How many of them were children? And how many civilians did her bombing drive into the Camarilla's open arms? But we're NOT supposed to question ANY of this, because this is a rah-rah "Girl Power" moment. The writers seemed to be onto something when they showed Scylla uncomfortable at the mall rally, when she bombed that same mall in episode 1, but they've devolved into politics SO DAMN HARD that they are trying to get us to root for a mass murderer - of innocents - who doesn't seem to care any more about the 1,600 people she killed! Apparently, you can get over that kind of thing rather quickly... OK, OK, she was probably bluffing, and strutting to stall for time, but still... P.S. Yes, I know she was saving a child from being stoned to death, yes, I know she refused to give Raelle to the Spree at the Bellwether wedding, don't @ me

@sterlingdennett with all the respect, it was not a "'Girl Power' moment", it was a savage speech in front an enemy. An ancient one, who was already working in the shadows before the Spree; infiltrating in all parts of a society struture and developing ways to kill witches. I don't think anyone here can or have to satisfy your questions. But you can ask yourself this: Who is the Army? How and why it was created? Who is considered a desertor e what happens to them, and by who? Who is the Spree? What is the main purpose of them? What are the similiaritys and differences of the Spree and the Army? What are the parts that witches and non-witches plays in that world? What are the tools disponible to the Army and the Spree for them to achieve their purposes? In a war all kills are murderes that can't be justified. But wars are results of a confusion and unbalanced world, were there's already suffering and something is not right. And we can ask ourselves why is that and how works the gears of it all.

Let's not forget Scylla has killed many innocent little girls. And Anacosta has trained many innocent girls and sent them off knowing they would die. Camarilla aren't the only bad guys. And we haven't seen things from the Camirlla's side yet. Adler puppeted the president and the Spree are attacking humans. That's what I like about this show, all the sides have an arguement.

Yo Scylla QUEEN!!! 🔥😍 My heart was pounding during this entire scene lol It's nice how they go back and forth with the POVs like the Trio (Military) then Quarterhorn and while my heart broke for Raelle waiting for her not!dead mom -- jesus, wth is the military even doing (excluding Mamacostia, of course)?! Alder's only concerned about covering her own ass and looking into more power she can steal regardless of how many lives she steps on. They're just waiting for scraps from the Spree operations and even then, they may or may not act on that. Oh by the way, they may also attribute Camarilla attacks to the Spree while they're at it.

I don't think Adler is like that at all. Everything she does is for a reason. I agree with her keeping the Camarilla a secret. You saw the rally. Imagine if the public found out the Camarilla were back. The humans would flock to them. And the missing soldier, I think she's Spree and Adler doesn't want that to get out. Adler is just been around a long time. And she does things for the greater good.

i really love how they've paced Scylla's arc so far this season. up until this point, we've seen a much more withdrawn and somewhat reserved Scylla -- one who's not as sure of herself or where she fits in and seems to be struggling with guilt on a number of different fronts. then, at the beginning of the episode, she's confronted by her fellow Spree agent who tells her she's gone "soft" and gotten too comfortable, but Willa sets her straight and tells her she's not weak, she just needs to choose whether she's living or dying for something (or someone) and act accordingly. all of this then comes to a boiling point when Scylla realizes that she has to FIGHT for what she cares about, not just resign herself to go along with things. i love the little parallel with Abigail's arc in that way; they both got their wake-up calls in this episode i think lol. all in all, i'm lovingggg this season and i can't wait to see where the second half takes us!!!

I was beginning to wonder if the old Scylla was still there and it was fun seeing she was. I think this season and part of last season she was dealing with a lot of guilt but it really took something like this to remind her why she was a warrior. I think in her mind she’s figured out that it doesn’t matter what terrible things you’ve done for what you believe as long as you can use your strength to do good when it matters it’s all worth it.
