It honestly isn’t THAT realistic. How did they not get PTSD due to the events that happened? Seeing their mother, father, friends die, and a person’s insides sure is traumatizing. It had a good concept, but it would’ve been better and more realistic if they added the psychological trauma in their journey.

Their mom was a truly life example, she did not only die for her children. She kept them motivated to go on during the whole series, even trying to hide her own weakness. We'll never forget you, Mari 😭

Really sad death here. It wasnt the drowning that killed her. Her heart simply gave out. Had she had another battery for her pacemaker she probably could have lived when they were giving her CPR. CPR just forces air into the lungs so the heart can start circulating oxygen throughout the body again. Her heart was dead so CPR was sadly pointless here. Another thing to think about is that the mom was the only one who could have swam all the down to the botten there and unhook the water. Had they not gotten free they probably would have all died on that small boat

Uuuhhh CPR isn't only to force air into the lungs - it's literal chest compressions, so the blood can somewhat still circulate. You don't necessarily have to give mouth to mouth resuscitation when performing CPR, so there isn't necessarily air being forced into anybody's lungs. CPR literally stands for Cardiopulmonary resuscitation...

Because when people have a cardiac arrest (meaning their heart has stopped beating) they perform CPR. So your statement "her heart gave out, therefore CPR is pointless" is wrong

The fact that she's a Cebuana, I wouldn't be surprised that she's so brave. In the ancient times in the Cebu, Philippines. If the "Bana"(which means husband) isn't around, his woman will do everything just to protect their children. This is also the reason why I fucking cried while watching the scene.

Can you do Haruho’s death? I think that’s how you spell his name and also it made me cry how he died, he had to see his mother die and he couldn’t do anything about it because he wasn’t strong enough, he really wanted Mari to live because to him, Mari was his second mom, once she stopped breathing, he had officially had gone to so much pain, that he couldn’t let anyone else go through more pain and let himself die in order to save them, I already knew he would die but made me cry even more because of of that, he was such a quiet kid :/

I could relate so much to the daughter and mothers relationship. They were extremely similar in spirit and that caused them to butt heads quite often. My mother and I are the same. So much the same it’s difficult to not fight with her but easy to love her more than anything else in the entire world.

I was sooo surprised when the Mother was actually a Filipino and was from Cebu where i also Lived before. 💖 This also gave me goosebumps since we had continues Earthquakes in Mindanao which i experienced a magnitude 6.5 first hand inside a Mall, Literally gave me PTSD in the first Episode 😂 This anime sure does have Some portrayals of World Socialization and I'm totally good with it. I'm proud of this Anime, Worth the time. 👌 (but still.. that cult part was totally unnecessary.)
