@@grim6107 Grim! That was you?! Brilliant! Great to "irl" chat to someone I've chatted with on the replies. From KZbin handle to big bike handles. It was lovely to meet Max and yourself. Genuinely made my day, mate even if my fat coupon may have indicated different☺️Wait a minute - were you saying "Grim" today and not "Graeme/Graham"? Apologies if so - I'm half deaf these days. And, talking of deafening noise, very impressive mode of transport, by the way. VERY cool. My Nissan Note just doesn't do it. Well, yourself and Max made my day - total gents. And I think two wheels may feature in Heat 2, if I remember the book correctly.

Tremendous upbeat watch Sir! Thanks again! If it wasn’t for that crazy senior moment from Jefte for their goal - we would have been so much more comfortable! Agreed some of our supporters have backed themselves into a corner and don’t appear to want the likes of Tav, Dessers and Lawrence to play well! Indeed the so called fan behind me called Tav ‘Failure’ 53 times during the match! 🤣 we need more attacking threat and contribution from the midfield - but there are positives all over the park! Keep up the good work! WATP!

@@andyhillis7158 thanks so much again, Andy. I would call you "top man" 53 times if I was stood behind y... No. No, Alex - that one hasn't worked - that just sounds creepy. ANYWAY it's very much appreciated, mate😁 Aye, that kinda hateful patter towards our players has the weird effect of making me stick up for guys who're clearly not playing well. I get ultra defensive of them. Basically, I'm backing myself into the opposite corner. But the manager, luckily, sees it all a lot more clearly. He's handling it all really smoothly. A wee point on Thursday and it's all systems go again.

Eck. Loving to see you more buoyant. But it has been nice to see you addressing the built in contradictions of being a fan of a “big” team. I see the entitlement in Celtic fans too now they are dominating things domestically. Loved your take a few pods back, if “superiority” of your ideology is based on your team winning then you are fucked. Backing your team, being “staunch”, being loyal. This is the beauty of fitba. At its best, it’s benign tribalism. You don’t have to hate on anything. Flawed players, managers with clumsy English, bad results. They can be overcome by your love for the club and the people attached to it. Your love for Walter Smith is beautiful. Even us Celtic fans can tell he was a man who we should all aspire to be like. Keep up the great work. I try to share the good word of fat eck with my sons of William mates. But one pal said “i canny handle him, it’s like my granda on an ecky”. So you might want to include a chill out zone or something in the chat for bears that canny handle how quick your brain fires? Just a wee idea.

@@kianmcclure9528 👏👏that was already a beautiful, kind and very much appreciated post but the quote from your bluenose mates took it into the stratosphere. I couldn't change even if I wanted to but, "I cannae handle him, it's like my granda on an ecky" is getting registered with my preferred funeral director first thing in the morning. That's my gravestone inscription sorted.😆👌 Aye, it's all about the love, isn't it. I mean, I've taken a very weird and horrible dislike to Jack Butland which shames me and has zero basis in reality. But I know that and park it when I'm at the game. I just love football, Kian - same as yerself, mate. It's a great life.

@@FatEck1999been busy few weeks so haven’t been commenting so often. I did enjoy a wee bit of open hatred you showed to the president of FCFCFCFC Steaua București FC football club. I worked in Greece for a few months and became very pally with a few Pana fans. No idea why I was attracted to that team. I can tell you the chairman of your opponents on thursday is a bit of a prick too. A malaka in local parlance.

@@thetryingscotsman4065 😆👍 that's the effect I'm going for - I'm determined to be the Les Dawson of Rangers podding. Okay, let's be honest, I wanted to be the Neil McCauley of Rangers podding but then I saw his sniffy attitude to barbecues & ball games, two of my favourite things in life😉😄 So glad you enjoyed Heat, sir. It's like you're caught in that shootout, isn't it, and the coffee shop scene is, like you say, utterly iconic. I love De Niro's face acting when he drives through the tunnel with Eadie, trying to convince himself he's "home free" and that he doesn't need to go after Waingro.

Routine win, a bit nervy having to wait for the latish winner. Hopefully Danilo is fully fit now. I was at the 2-0 reverse in the same fixture a few years ago (I think that was under Pedro) so I appreciate the win, even though I watched on tv this time. Quite a low attendance which the club will take note of, hopefully we can start to improve our play. Some very winnable domestic fixtures coming up. Maybe we can get a point from our 2 away Euro games. Enjoyed your podcast.

Aye, I was at that game in 2017 too. It was utterly brutal, BigPhil so, like you, I'm always going to remember days like that when we're thinking it's "just" a semi-final win over Motherwell. As usual, you're spot-on with everything you're saying. I'd bite yer hand off for a point from either Piraeus or Nice. Many thanks, sir.

agree that as a team we are in major rebuild and that’s gonna mean all sorts of weird stuff before we come good, i accept that - , it’s the “rebuild” of the club in terms of a board/ a club /a modern switched on commercial organisation / a philosophy / ambition that’s worrying me

@@shantydoctor ditto, mate. It's probably half the reason why I'm less concerned about the manager. The fundamental stuff of running a club four size is a much more pressing matter.
