I got a quick question hopefully you can help me out. I just bought myself this gimbal and when i turn it on it is vibrating and making a loud noise. I not sure if i have defective gimbal or i need to change the settings. the camera I am using is sony d6000.

Another great product review! I really like how the Moza comes with the control cables and on top of that the cable is a straight connection NOT a 90 degree like the Zhiyun cable. The included dual handle and hard shell case are great additions too!

Hello, new subscriber here. Love your videos! Questions, first, I know you said the Moza Air is your new favorite but now that you've had both the Moza Air and the Crane 2 is the Moza Air still your favorite? Second, of the two gimbals which do you prefer for timelapse? I've heard that the Crane 2 is not as smooth as it should be. Third, have you had any problems or are you worried about the lack of threads on the Moza Air? I have it and I'm always worried it's going to strip. Screwing it together has a very rough feel to it and just doesn't give me confidence that it will last long. Thanks!!!

If you are using heavier lenses like gmasters then I suggest getting the 2. Also if you want the LED screen and want to buy the follow focus. If not save your money and arm strength and get this one.

SF Bay Area in the house! :) Im highly interested in the timelapse function especially since this seems to be the only gimbal on the market that has 'move-shot-move' functionality to work with Sony a7s II on the iphone app controller. Ive always shot star time lapses on a tripod...how stable is the gimbal when it sits on the tripod bottom? Does the gimbal 'lock' sufficiently to allow for long-exposure (~20 sec) shots during a night time lapse before moving to the next spot? Ive never owned a handheld gimbal and just wondering how this one would perform in long exposure settings in night conditions (with some wind) to allow for in-focus images vs a traditional tripod? I love the idea that this unit could be a multi-purpose gimbal and motion time lapse device I just dont know how practical it is for that purpose. Any advice or experience with this would be appreciated!

How did you get the a7rii and 24-70 to balance so well? I am having to use counter weights and take off the eye cup to be able to have enough room to get full motion.

Headofacow It's not evenly balanced before I start the gimbal. The motors just work extra hard but it never flopped over or anything

Ah, I see. I went and got a 1.25" 1/4"-20 screw, about a half pound of 2" washers to counter balance it. If I take the eyecup off I can get full movement with a uv filter and the lens hood on. Good to know the motors are strong enough even with the tilt not balanced all the way! Thing is pretty beastly.

Yay I remember asking to you try this out! Glad you did! And glad you like it ;) I think Moza is being greatly overshadowed by Zhiyun due to Zhiyun’s superior effort in advertising. I live in China (Macau) and most of my videographer peers hasn’t even heard of the brand Moza let alone the gimbal itself, even though they all have heard of the Zhiyun.

Hello! I bought the Moza air about two weeks ago and it’s only worked 10% of this time. The other 90% of the time even though I have it perfectly balanced as soon as I turn it on it spins like crazy!!! I hate that. Any advice on this!??

Carlos Raga Eeeek!! That sounds horrible. I'd try to calibrate it or update the firmware and try again. If that doesn't work tell them to give you a replacement. It may have gotten bumped in transport

Hi there Kitty! I've watched this video several times now. I have come to the conclusion (after too many embarrassing waddle-waddle-down-the-street clips) that I should invest in a gimbal. I keep coming back to this video for the inspiration - you made City Hall look so beautiful! I was hoping you could do an update - is this still your favorite? I understand the Moza recently recieved a firmware update (auto-balancing and stuff), but I am really interested to know if they have solved the issues with the Android app??? Sadly, I am too invested to switch. If you could do an update video and address some of those initial issues you mentioned - that would be so GREAT! Regards from Sacramento.

Thanks for writing! I didn't even know there was an update. Gotta download! Since I love the timelapse feature it is my favorite and all that it comes with in the case. I have another gimbal review coming that's good with light setups that is also my fave for simple run and gun. Moza is my fave for more advanced shots and heavier payloads.

I watched Brandon Li's review and it wasn't as overwhelmingly positive, although he is a different kind of cinematographer... makes me ashamed of my own KZbin stuff. Also, The Beard Bringer did a good review (that is where I learned about the recent update) - that guy is hilarious, and wonderfully odd, but he didn't have the thumb controller, so... yours is the best! The timelapses you did sold me on the Air too. If/when I get it, I am going to try to reproduce your shots at the State Capitol. Thanks for the great channel!

Darbians Photography You can still shoot TL if you have another app for your camera. That's how I hacked their Android issues. There's a Nikon setting in the thumb controller. Wish I had a d850 to test it out 😜

Gudsen still does not have the apps working correctly. They would rather put out new products than make the ones already out work correctly. Too many neat features that just don't work well and very poor documentation.
