This was very well explained. A huge advantage is having clean motion to start with. That way concentration can be spent on sweetening the punch.

Definitely! Knowing exactly how the action needs to be performed, casting someone who can perform it that way, and capturing it as accurately as possible will give you the best start and less work in the long run.

This is excellent! Would love to see how you bring video into Mobu and sync with the mocap.

For this project I added a video clip from the film using this process👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pp7SdHylpr6NkMU The easiest way to sync reference video from a mocap shoot with the motion capture is with timecode - ideally you capture the mocap and video with timecode and then sync the 2 files in MotionBuilder. If not, you'll need to import the video and look for a quick action like a clap or jump you can use to sync the files by eye.

@@mocappys How do you deal with the Quicktime runtime library is required but not installed error? Quicktime is no longer supported on Windows.
@mocappys Жыл бұрын
@@BorisWillis I think I used this (support.apple.com/kb/dl837?locale=en_GB) to install the QuickTime libraries it needs. Or maybe it was VLC. I forget exactly, sorry.
