I keep a boat at Cedar Bayou on Texoma. Last month I took down and installed a Dometic rooftop unit-and it didn't cool! I was HOT. I had to remove it and drive all the way home, 9Amarillo) to exchange it for a another new unit.

That’s a bummer. I’ve had that one for a few years now and have moved it around between things and it’s been holding up pretty good. When I toured fancy yachts at the boat show they all seemed to have Dometic ACs in them so that seemed like a good sign.

Lol, I watch both those guys. Also, check out a guy in Berlin Germany on the Rine River. It's called "My first boat" He's on his 6th boat it's a steel barge about 60' I think. He has his barge in the river with all his other ones tied up to it.

If you want to know a little low effort KZbin marketing trick, you can plug those bigger boat videos that got on trending into one of those sites that scrapes KZbin tags, and then snipe a handful of their tags. The tags are actually mostly used by KZbin to suggest related videos, so it increases the possibility of you showing up in suggested videos next to these channels. Basically just pick as many as you can fit that are relevant to your videos so KZbin knows the videos are related. You can check multiple videos, find common tags, and then add those to your upload defaults so you can increase your chances of showing up on their future uploads. Unfortunately not everyone uses tags so this isn't a universal hack. Don't just focus on the biggest channels, try to find similar channels in the same niche that are pulling good numbers but might have less competition in their suggested videos. But in general you can also use this to get insight on the channel's marketing strategy. I know that sounds crazy, but you can find out what niches they are specifically targeting, possible high value keyword phrases; basically, if they paid for SEO, you're getting expensive research for free. I've used this strategy with my marketing clients and it tends to generate some high quality leads with not a lot of effort, and no need for an Ahrefs subscription lol Another tip I would say is ask ChatGPT to write you a generic description of your channel and what you do, you can get specific sections about each of your shows, Rogue Wave, Speed Bump, etc. Have it generate a separate paragraph for each, and also another generally describing what you do and the history of your channel. Tell it to include the good keywords you found on your competitors videos, and then use that as a structure and correct things, change wording, but make sure to keep the keywords. If you can get 3 -4 paragraphs of info in the description you are more likely to show up in search and suggested videos because google will better understand what the video is about and who might be interested in watching it. It's not really about writing for people, as much as writing for youtube and google, so don't worry too much about how it reads if it's a bit choppy or sounds cheesy, people honestly don't read these days anyway. Anyway, I hope this ramble helps, I found this channel like, 3 uploads ago and I know your content is of a high enough quality to attract more attention. Always looking out for real creators on the platform. If you have any questions I'll gladly try and answer them. Good luck on the house boat, and the channel!

This is some awesome feedback, thank you! I'd never seen one of these tag finder websites before. It's funny reading through what some of the other channels use as tags, seems like a lot of them tag the other channels in their niche.

@@Motiv8Labs I would definitely put those channel names in your tags and see what happens. Usually when you implement changes like this it takes the algorithms about a month to catch up, so if you decide to make any changes, keep with them for at least a month before you decide if the extra effort is worth it. I'd also consider going back and adding the tags and generic descriptions to older videos. Generally, when a page gets updated, google/youtube considers that page to be newer, more relevant information, as well as an active page, so updating them will only help their chances. (I'd focus on the best performing ones personally, it's a ton of work and is hit or miss with results from what I've seen) Some keywords you might want to consider working into the description/tags: DIY Boat Restoration, Boat Engine Restoration, Boat Makeover and Refinish, Houseboat Tour, Houseboat Vacation Adventures, Lake Day Adventures, Time-lapse (

I just ran across your channel and I love it but I can't believe that your wife let you park that boat in the yard. I'm redoing two house boats now in Marathon Florida and I had to buy a marina to do it. My wife said no way no how. If you ever get down this way stop by.

Good point they pack things so flimsy now that they can’t make it out of the store without getting torn up.
