i wrote a suicide note in grade 5, and some birdy told the teacher about it, and she caught me at the school gate and went "hey, are you okay?" that teacher saved my life, impacted my life. i wouldnt be here today without her. her name is mrs lange, and she is the single greatest teacher i have ever had. she showed enthusiasm every single day, and most importantly saved my life. you too can save lives. you too can be a mrs lange.

My teacher came to school one day even though her daughter had just died😭. We all ended up hugging her and she said we were like her 2nd children. We decided to make a huge card for her and she cried and we all ended up crying.😢 That was one of the most memorable days of my life. Teachers are truly amazing and it’s impossible to express that enough. 💕

I used to be bullied in middle school a bunch of jerks made fun of me and my friend. Until one day I became the bully and started bullying a kid who was def and in that moment, I knew I was hanging out with the wrong kids. But I was so angry at them and how they made me suffer and letting my anger out on other kids made me feel really stupid until I realized I needed knew friends. And to this day I'm no longer a bully I hang out with christian guys who go to church and so do I it really changed my life.

I love that my college professor added this video as extra credit. 2 days ago I turned 37. 15 years ago I was homeless on the streets, addicted to the needle. I lost my sister, my father, and my best friend in short succession. I didn't struggle with grades, I struggled with understanding my life has value and worth from a very young age. I dropped out of highschool with a 4.2 GPA. I didn't have the guidance and encouragement I needed as a teen. I had back surgery at 24 that led to a 200lb weight gain. I could only see myself as an obese drug addict with failed potential. Then I decided to get clean and I wasn't going to use no matter what happen. I got clean, I met an amazing man, got married, gave birth to 4 girls in 2 years. I now had others looking at me to be their role model. I lost 145lbs the old school way (nutrition and gym). I finished the 2 classes I needed for my high school diploma at 35 years old. I have 4 weeks of my freshman year left, and although I'm 37, it feels amazing. We are not a sum of our failures, but how we choose to overcome them.

But then I gave her a chance and I focused on her methods, change my attitude and I adapted to her teaching and now I love to go to her class. Maybe there are bad teachers but they just give u what u need to learn, its up to you to do it. Not saying you do bad but for people that feels like school sucks... its really all up to you.

His words made me cry, sometimes I'd rest on my bed and begin to ask myself "what am I doing in this world? " "Why am I here?" " Why was I born, i shouldn't have been born" " maybe if I wasn't born, life would be better for the people around me" then I'd pick a piece of paper and write poems about how I'm feeling then hide it away.. a few years ago I used to sit on my bed at night and switch off the lights and simply stare into the darkness and say stuff that could never make sense to anyone who would've heard me (except for me) everyday, I'd often imagine I had friends even though I didn't and talk to them, I still have them up till now but now they're just two people (two girls) you could call them imaginary and they're always there to calm me down when I'm so angry or sad but sometimes they don't help so I punch a wall instead.. that kind of made me like the dark, anytime someone wanted to switch on the light I'd become cranky and try to make them switch it off.. I still like to leave the light off but I don't talk like that in the dark that much again, I have a few number of friends I talk to, I barely go out coz most of the friends I really like to talk to don't live around me, and I mostly spend time with my friends online, I feel safer like that than in real life.. I'd often write my feelings in letters and not words and If anyone asked I'd simply say they're just letters and they won't suspect anything coz even if they googled it, they wouldn't find it. These days I calm myself down by listening to music or writing and posting it on Wattpad, or drawing, I sometimes felt like a loser or a disappointment, and each time I wanna cry I'd stop myself or slap myself and tell myself "you don't deserve to cry" when I hear the news it's probably another person died or a bunch of kids died or someone stole this, someone stole that, terrorists are killing these people, terrorists bombed a place, another man is trying to get power, just terror terror terror!! There was a time I cried myself to sleep one night coz I heard a politician kept all the food supposed to be given to the less privileged 😢 and you'd think people would be nicer to people with disabilities but no! They steal from them too!!! No one is safe from evil! I honestly don't know how what I was saying came to this but I'm going through a lot and I'm trying my best to stay calm and focus but it's hard, but I still try as much as possible to make it work, thanks to him, I'm feeling better about myself and I'll try to be more consistent and work as hard as I can, that doesn't mean I won't feel down atimes but I'll get back up again. A leader isn't someone who never falls, a leader is someone who can fall and still get back up again _- A wise person. 🙂

I’m an 18 year old high school senior graduating in 15 days. Current status, unhappy and hopeless-though never will I ever consider to un-alive myself. Looking back at my high school experience, it wasn’t the most lively nor best. Being an underachiever really took a toll on me, top it off with having bad social skills. Socializing was always difficult for me and has held me back a couple of times. I could join clubs, sport team, make friends etc. During lunch I would stand in a corner alone waiting for the bell to dismiss us students back to class. When it gets to academic performance, I’m neither good or bad. I hate failing so getting an F is out of the question but I don’t put enough effort to do great and ace everything. I always do the bare minimum. I have the mindset of “it’s enough as long as I pass.” Not the best mindset to have ever….I am unhappy. What do I want to do after high school? No clue to be honest. I no longer have the dream job or dream career I always talk about when I was in elementary. Lost my motivation and determination back in middle school. Lost my will to strive at the beginning of high school. Now that I’m getting ready to graduate…I’m hopeless. I really wish I did things differently from the start. See the difference and changes to the outcome that I have now. No point beating myself up for it since It’s all in the past and there’s nothing I can do about it…It is what it is. Taking the risk and stepping outside of your comfort zone could sometimes be what you need. I regretted those times where I didn’t…lesson learned. Typing all of this changed my mood to be honest. I’m glad I came across this video and I’m glad I got to express how I feel on here. For those starting middle school, high school, or even college and you are feeling scared, unhappy, overwhelmed, hopeless, and so on--I hope this helped change how you feel or think even little. I was 15 when one of my teachers bumped into me one day at school, the look on his face was utter shock & my heart sank when he told me he was surprised that I hadn’t dropped out of school yet. He was surprised because I was a girl who grew up in an environment that told people like me that we should give up on our dreams. Im in senior year now & just got accepted into university with a scholarship. If I had listened back then and add to the stereotypic view that many people of colour & indigenous suffer from due to racially profiling, I wouldn’t have gotten to this place in my life. For anyone struggling to get through high school, you can do it. Push through those assignments and get yourself that qualification. Don’t let ANYONE ever tell you what you can and cannot do. Break the stereotypes, normalise people of colour and indigenous peoples working in high paying jobs, and having a career in high places within society. I will make it and so will you. My math teachers wife has stage 3 cancer and once a week he would have to drive her to appointments for chemo, radiation, etc and most kids hated him because he wasn’t great at teaching, but I just saw him the other day and I felt so sad because I know that he could hear those kids and he has to help his wife walk. He came up to me and said that he was glad to have me in his class because I actually cared. Even if you don’t care, act like you do because you never know what people are going through. Anyone else feel so stressed and anxious to the point where you ask yourself if your searching for sympathy or it’s an actual serious concept? You then argue with yourself in your head so much, to the point where you just ignore it, you don’t look for help. Then you think hey, I need to find help. But that argument comes up again and it’s just an infinite cycle where you drive yourself insane. In the end you don’t even do anything about it. It just sits there building up until one day. You can’t take it anymore. Nope not the case, you will just go insane and still be stuck in that endless cycle. You also do not want to talk/ confess because you think your just a selfish no good attention seeker. Here you are now, still bottling all that up. - - Yeah, same here. (Edit) Looking at the amount of likes and the small amount of replies that pretty much say that it was relatable and those that said it got better. It made me feel happy, because I wasn’t and am not the only one Thank you.

Same here xD Tho I kinda open about my problem since that can get me feel a little better (not the problem that too much tho, I don't really want people to said I have problem, I like the fact that they just take it as a joke, not want everyone to step in my comfort zone xD) The thought, they were crazy you know, either good or bad, they still fight each other and I'm just stand in between listen to all the thought, it's just really hard when those thought exist! Some of the thought told me about all the negative thing, some of the thought just doing the opposite,...There is a lot, I don't even know what to do or chose, try to make myself feel better by encourage myself then the negative thought just push me down again. It just keep on going like that, feel just like a torture, I'm just get used to it, I don't care anymore or anyone, I'm start to see those thought "another me", talking to myself alot xD Even tho around me, I know there was someone who will listen, will help me through it all, I still don't really want to talk about my problem I'm scare of them, I don't want to end up trust them. "They will left me", "They're have their own problem, I can't just creating more problem for them", "I can deal with it on my own", "it's not a big problem".... The thought kinda like the angel and the demon in movie, one wrong move and everything go wrong. In the past, I'm used to see them in movie and thought they was really cool! Now I'm kinda want to slap past me in the face, they was cool if they not appeal too much, too much would just like being torture. Nowaday, because of getting used to it, I just start to see them as friends and enemies as the same time, they did have some benefits once you start to getting used to them! Sometime just think that I'm out of my mind when I never really want to getting rid of them as I'm getting used to them, I'm probably just freak out if they just suddenly disappear and beg them to come back! Having them did make me feel not alone that much I guess... Tho I think I'm probably like my logic thought better, less annoy and help me throught those two negative and positive thought or other crazy thought :)

I’ve always been wondering how the hell will I manage to get past high school, I still think that I won’t achieve that, life itself brings a lot of stress to me to the point I try my best to escape it even if it harms me at the same time. I have gotten a therapist a few months ago but that barely helped me, I tried to lie to myself thinking that I was better but doing that just made it worse, the worst part is I’ve learnt to bottle up my feelings since I was 9 and I also have trust issues so it’s really hard for me to seek help, I just feel trapped and want to escape to somewhere else and I feel like no one will understand me. I know no one is going to read this but I just wanted to let some things out, I really don’t like bottling up my emotions but it feels easier to do so than to explain what I really feel, especially since most of the people I know are also struggling and I don’t want to put more pressure on them

Don’t know when you become’not a young person’ but being 24, closing in on 25, but I always used to surround myself in horrible, negative things and situations. A lot of positive things that have reopened my eyes to the beauty of reality, I suddenly fell into this KZbin rabbit hole of just motivational speaking. I know I will make it out in the end but I always tell myself that I shouldn’t hope as hope is waiting for it to happen, not actually actively pursuing that thing you want to happen.

This is absolutely amazing and beautiful, I didn’t even realise people like this existed anymore in this sinful world but we have been blessed with the man and his wise and caring words. 5 minutes into the video I started crying, I feel the pain and I'm glad this popped up because I thought I was nothing, depression really screwed me up all that was in my mind is that I wanna die but I'm afraid to. Like my parents are abusive and got it me f**ked up in the head they were cursing at me, abusing and telling me I was a mistake and saying that I'm nothing and won't be successful. But this video taught me that I got a bright future ahead of me I might not see it but it'll happen, so Jeremy Anderson I jsut wanna say thank you for this motivation speech! It really helped me.
