@@JD-yq3dd I did this routine by Dr. Mandel and also Wim Hof breathing exercises and the copd test came out as extra normal. I didn't know there was such a diagnosis. I was always wanting to know the difference between anxiety and heart condition and breathing conditions. Always the anxiety was just ignored. The breathing exercises helped me with the anxiety and that is what I needed and didn't know. None of the doctors addressed this issue. Stress is always going to be around knowing how to handle it is so beneficial. I always feel like my prayers are answered when these videos show up for me. I am wishing you all the best JD.

@@billybradley410 I pray you make not only a complete recovery but rapid recovery. I was hospitalized 16 days unfortunately with one step away from a ventilator. While in the hospital Covid partially paralyzed me. I was not even able to sit up in bed without assistance , nor shower myself or even sit to remove my bowels . Most traumatizing experience of my life . Couldn't even walk around the hospital room without assistance. I am currently home but on oxygen until further notice . Making a pretty good recovery although a slow one but I didn't expect it to be fast . But I want you to know you will heal and I want you to know who brought me out of the trenches. @ONTHEFLOW unfortunately I was not vaccinated and am currently not vaccinated only because I now have to wait 90 days to be vaccinated which I will be getting vaccinated then . My only reason for not being vaccinated in the first place is because a year ago I had a very serious adverse reaction to a Flouroquinolone Antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin that literally devastated my health for months . This is why I grew a temporary fear over almost any Pharmecuticals . It took me over a year to start to regain my trust back into the medical field which I'm glad I did despite what happened. Had I not I wouldn't be here right now to tell the tune

@@Myworldmymind908 hey happy you have recovered. Actually its 14 days after a negative test you can have your first vaccine. 90 days was with the old data now patients who had covid can be vaccinated 14 days after testing negative. And glad I am that I did. I will follow your breathing exercises and hope. The doctors and staff at the VA (for the most part) could care less weather I/we live or die. I have had a severe drug interaction between proscribed medication. For 6 months have I attempted to get this issue resolved and it's still not fixed. So grateful I found this video. Diagnosed with hyperaerated lungs after having a flu January of 2024. My most recent x-ray still shows that my both lungs are still hyperaerated. I went through lung function test and came back normal. I can breath normally, I can even walk 3 miles and climb up 14 floor building. I was not placed on any medication except Levokast taken only if I find myself having difficulty breathing. My recent consultation with the pulmo, advised me to do a breathing exercise. I watch and followed a few. But, this video is far awesome than the others. I just want to clear the trapped air in my lungs and have it back to normal as before. Virus infection is very scary and we must take care of ourselves, wear masks when going out and even in the office setting. Thank you again for this video. I will do this everyday for the next two - three months and see if my lungs are cleared as per my doctor, CT-Scan can be perform if I am worried and want to make sure the overall health of my lungs. But, he assure me that there is nothing to worry about. Two doctors gave me a clearance to continue working. Thanks God!

Having been hospitalised for low potassium and being in ICU for 3days, and going to a general ward and the doctor informing me I had influenza and my cough was very bad, I was feeling very disponded . I was to spend another 5days in hospital and went onto a course of antibiotics, steaming and Salex to rinse my sinuses, I felt a bit better. He made sure I had Physio and she instructed me how to do the breathing excercises correctly as you have shown and it benifitted me greatly. I enjoy all the information I look up by you and have only been learning more, so at 69yrs of age you are never to old to learn. Thank you for enlightening us.

In 1978, at 18 years old, I began yoga and breathing exercises which included deep breathing. Now at 62 years old, I am very observant of my breath and others. I doubt very much if the people around my age use even 50% of their lungs. I would estimate that I use more lung capacity than anyone of almost any age, except those involved seriously in sports. To get the most air as possible 'out' of my lungs, I have a couple tricks. One is to exhale as much as possible and once all the air is gone, institute a fake laugh or even real one if possible. This laugh seems to cause a different muscular effect. If you can hear the laugh, even faintly, then more air is coming out. That's just a real quick explanation that you'd have to think to really get it. The other thing is while I'm exhaling, and especially when it takes a long time to get all the air out of my lungs, my mind seems to 'think' it needs to breathe in. To calm my mind down, I do breathe in, but only a very small amount. After that small amount, I begin exhaling again and almost always will exhale more air than I just breathed in. That's the idea, to get out as much air as possible. In one breath I may do this three or four times. In my book, the diaphragm is the most important muscle in the body, as long as we're alive we'll be using it. The amount we use has a direct, meaningful, and observable effect on our lives and how much we can enjoy and participate in it. One more thing that has helped motivate me. I imagine the old stale air at the bottom of my lungs. I imagine how long it's been there and how old I was when I breathed it in. At some point, I took IN a breath but then never fully breathed all that air OUT. Throughout my life, I regularly attempted to clear as much of that old air as was physically possible. As long as that old air is in there, new air can't take its place. Sorry for the length of this, but it's still less than I wanted to share. I appreciate your videos, you have great info and tricks I've never heard before. You've helped me with several things and I'm thankful that you do this.

In Jan it was really bad. Drove myself to the ER. They said I may be getting COPD and I did have pneumonia. Now I'm on inhalers, chronic bronchitis, and I try breathing out hard before I inhale. Saw another one of your videos showing how to breathe out fairly hard. I'll try these now, too. Thank you, Dr Mandel. God bless you, 🙏🏼

These are exercises that every nurse & doctor should teach all their respiratory patients. From the comments I don't believe they have or the patients didn't listen to begin with. If you have COPD then you should have gotten an incentive spirometer to help you with your breathing exercises. Even people who aren't respiratory patients will get one prior to surgery, especially if they are sedentary life styles. These are really good exercises to do. Hopefully you'll keep up the good work after you get started !! It definitely MAKES A DIFFERENCE 💝💝💝💝💝

Not one single exercise or breathing method has ever been mentioned to me by any Doctor. No mention of diet, nothing but medication.I just ordered a airphysio device. We'll see how that goes. Its got great reviews and simulates lung exercises. Humming is good for loosening mucus. One thing this device does is simulate humming as the air vibrates as you breathe in thru this device. Let everyone know how it works soon , I hope. You're also breathing out thru pursed lips, another good technique.if anyone here has got this device already please let us know how you have found it.Another brand of this device is called airfit.
