My opinion of a weak person (male or female) is someone that can't do much on their own. They typically drain the life out of you with all their dependence on you . Mentally exhausting

I worked for 8 years teaching a domestic violence prevention program to adujacated men. This statement is so true in the wheelhouse of male abusers. My family and friends would ask are you scared of the men in your group? I would reply, no, they need time and compassion because in my groups these tough men could figure out their weaknesses.

I'm 65 years old and have spent 54 years of my life buried by sadness, depression, over work, under achievement, parental distress and any other negative emotion that exists. The small miracle is that I didn't become an addict and didn't lose my sanity. Now that I've discovered Jordan Peterson there is even a slight possibility of finding a way back to the person I believe I was born to be. Nobel prize for this individual.

Just went through a nasty breakup with my first love. I stopped drinking so much, started working out, applied myself at work and cleaned my room, picked up my old hobbies and interests, got myself into some new clean clothes and started holding myself accountable. I already feel better after a week. You dictate your circumstances. You are in control of your life. Be the person you know you can be deep inside, the best version of you, even if it means falling a few times and getting back up.

@@cathyscott8459Good question. I often ask myself this too. I was just so beaten down I think? My wife was a mental health leach. I tried to end the relationship many times before she even moved in but she was very quick to play on my mental health issues and gaslighted me until the end when I finished with her once and for all! I stood strong and stuck at my word, and now I am free and these past 3 months has been me readjusting to single life and single parenthood- which I love! My next phase is to start really working on myself as a human, mother and friend - 1st stop, gym/exercise! 🥰❤️🙏🏽 I have been so lost these past 8 years 🤦🏻‍♀️😢

I'm feeling so much love for humanity after reading the comments to those suffering in some way in threads. It makes me think that maybe we at all at our best as a collective when we are trying to help an individual. Maybe it's because we ourselves are individual in our own plights of suffering. But just taking each comment and then the whole of them into contemplation, my faith in us as humanity has been restored and multiplied. Love you all in your plights and in the ones you support.

JP is definitely spot on in his comments on helping others. There is no better feeling from your work if it involves helping someone no matter what that deed is. It doesn't have to be financial advice or academic advice. It could be as simple as helping someone plan a vacation or grow a garden. Sharing what you know..........as long as you are sincerely knowledgeable on the topic..........will leave you with a huge emotion of satisfaction and delight because it validates you and what you are doing here.

What always made getting out of bed in the morning easy for me was looking forward to completing a complex design on which I was currently working. I designed hydraulic power units that are used to control industrial processes around the world. My creativity was the spur that made working in this field so satisfying. I enjoyed the work so much that I didn't mind not being paid what I was worth.

Just wondering what happens if you do too much for people? As he mentions doing things for people. Will helping other people overshadow your life? What will happen to your goals and dreams and choices? What happens when you start to get resentful to the people you've Helped.?
@faythecosmiclove5261
@faythecosmiclove5261 2 жыл бұрын
Loving yourself first is the prerequisite to loving others well. Your goals and dreams, to be sustainable must serve you and the greater good of humanity. That its what drives your will to pursue them relentlessly. By pursuing your goals you are helping ppl. Wearing yourself thin, neglecting your needs and boundaries sabotages your ability to help others which leads to resentment. Helping others should come from an overflow of love you have for yourself and commitment to your personal mission. Its a constant ego check so you don't fall into the trap of pretending to love and be in service. Hope that helps.

@@barnone.3808 well first I started with a cheap small bike and I mean cheap like $50 cheap. I was dirt poor and in HS but living on my own. I was very much a mess. I tinkered with it for a year made it the best it could be modifying what was there and whatever I could make work out of the trash. It's worth mentioning I grew up as a mechanic I wasn't clueless with what I was doing I knew enough of enough trades to build it better and make stuff. Then I saved and bought a turbo that took a year. Then I played with it and thought too long and didn't do enough. I did make it work badly a few times. Then I found a xr200 a Honda dirt bike that was trashed. But something that was a huge upgrade to the cg 125 that was in the frame. Then years went by I barely touched it. Then I started listening to JP and I heard the anything worth doing is worth doing badly and I laughed. I saw somethings jump out at me. I started to work on me and in the same time this bike. I made my goals small but steady. First strip all my old work off too much ghetto. Second this was to be a test mule so pretty wasn't needed quick but good prototyping was fine small leaks were the norm. Then I started rebuilding things changed from a pull through carb set up to blow through. That made the bike run like stock until you got on it hard then boost would come in. I made a video on my newest fuel system to try and offer a simple cheap solution that ppl could copy. After i understood this new better way of carburetion well I started to turn the boost up, first 10psi then 15 then 20. Soon after we started breaking stuff and I started making better parts. After replacing everything atleast twice with an improved version I made in my humble shop I decided the Dyno mule was cool but it was time to get serious. At this point I had had it for 4yrs and spent not including consumables about $400 on it it leaked a bit of oil and didn't have the prettiest set up but we were making about 50-55whp I don't remember but that was with 198cc. So now I wanted to drag race it so I stripped it again I made it as light as I could and built a fresh engine using every trick I knew and a this point I had maybe 10 of these engines in pieces that iv gotten out of the trash over the years. I had lots of spare parts for me to play with. I was reading lots of papers back then whenever I could on the important subjects. I ended up building parts and trying them and seeing what worked and trying as much that should help. Finally I settled on a bore and stroke ratio and actual bore and stroke that gave us 155cc. Why go down well it's pretty simple HP=(tq*rpm)/5252 shorter stroke makes reving higher easier and longer lasting(important when you push the limits) it also let us employ a few trick all at once. I made a longer rod with the short stroke this does a few things one it slows piston speeds around tdc and speeds them up around bdc. It also lowers rod angle making it stronger. It also moves the powerband up some.
@oliverscorsim
@oliverscorsim 2 жыл бұрын
@@barnone.3808 Then we made the first good oil system I had. And we made the valves huge lots of ceramic coatings inside the combustion chamber. Made a big cam. Played with combustion chamber design alot. I offset bored it also. That moved the center of the crank offset from the center of bore. This makes sure that at tdc the rod has some leverage on the crank very important. It also offset the effect of the rod some further shifting the powerband. Then I started doing what I was told couldn't be done and started using high compression ratio with lots of boost 30psi+. This got us there. Along with lots of timing. Now iv started to make some special turbo parts and I'm maximizing what that can do hopefully this week we should see the first 50psi run down the rd. Should be around 90-100whp but at 155cc this gets us over the hump on the highest boost setting. Now I have started racing it so Iv been working hard on making it use that power well to go down the track and making it lighter. Iv gone so far that this is Version9 and version10 is right around the corner. It's gonna be something special. Iv been prototyping some carbon engine parts and frame hoping we can get me the bike and fuel under 320lbs this way along with some special advantages inside the engine with carbon. Some things I can't make like carbon carbon. So no pistons yet but everything else seems to be going great even in the trans. Hopefully I can make this thing take a lot of records. I thank JP because in these 10 versions of this bike you can see my life everything else was in similar effort and it was just coming to a point where everything needed attention. Still working on these things both in my life and this bike.. I'm fairly proud to say I have spent about $1500 on this bike so far although that's doubling soon with version10. But that will actually be a whole new bike a Taylor made platform. Obviously I'm not including my time as I don't have a clue how many sleepless nights iv spent.

@@barnone.3808 Sorry for it being so long I just thought ab actual response was worth doing. Also I shortened that alot lol all that happened lots of times before we got here. I grew up with carbs and I mean 3yr old me was cleaning carbs. It took me a good 3yrs of really trying to learn and understand the 3d tuning of blow through carbs. I learned alot about alot because of this project and others but this ones cheap enough that I can really go wild and try to break barriers.

@@oliverscorsim woah......it was long but totally worth the read. It seems like you had a lot of trials and hardwork on both the bike and your life man. And with that you could basically say you've started to make your own bike engine and prototype of bike models. That's cool. My hobbies and goals aren't anything as great as those man. It's just doing at least enough to survive but alas as it seems that's not enough....to survive it's also about thriving. Which your doing now.have you posted it any where could I see the bike? And do you have any videos with the test runs? Pls let me know that would be dope fr.
