I like the way this movie seamlessly goes from seriousness to comedy - without overdoing the comedy aspects. The two cops on the boat were a comedic act without taking away from the mainly serious plot. It ended on a high note, again using a bit of comedy. Really enjoyed this one!

Whatever drugs were floating around Hollywood in the 30s, the writer of this screenplay must have been on all of them. This film can't decide whether it's a comedy or a thriller and it ends up being neither. But I love movies from this era regardless, though. Thanks so much for posting it!

A bank teller but look at the magnificent house! And maids! I love the car chase, reaching speeds of up to 60 miles an hour, hanging police out the door taking pot shots! Those were the days!
