Agreed, she did a fantastic job. Just goes to show that Tommy could've easily been replaced. If only Vince could still sing rather than rattle off every other second and third word of the lyrics. I say this as a Crue fan from the Live Wire days, too. Its hard to watch Vince these days. I'd really hoped he would've gotten some help to get both back in shape for his health and his voice back.

@@normanbyrne9868 One thing I enjoy about watching Sam's Crue performances is that as a newer member to the group, she is a bit more note-for-note, or just-like-the-record live than Tommy, or even Randy were, and I feel like this actually shakes things up a bit, and keeps everyone on their toes- other Crüe, other CREW, even the fans, and folks selling hotdogs, and it's kind of refreshing!! Vince, on the other hand.....you're totally right- I'm still holding tightly to my Stadium Tour tickets, (and hotel reservation, and day off work for both my wife, and me,) but I'm not holding my breath in hopes of Vince crushing it!! Rock on, friends!! 😁

This was such a weird era. Largely forgotten. Personally I loved the New Tattoo album. It was the album we really wanted instead of Generation Swine. If New Tattoo had Tommy it would have been better as far as sales and recognition go. And I loved Randy Castillo as a drummer. His work with Ozzy alone is kick ass and thought he fit in great with Motley. In 2000, the 80’s hard rock/metal nostalgia and reunions still really hadn’t hit yet except for maybe KISS and a couple others. Ok KISS was 70’s but I digress. Saw this tour. Summer 2000. The year prior they did a summer tour in 1999 with Randy Castillo on drums. It was more of a stripped down stage in 1999. Then Randy got sick and Sam Maloney replaced him for the New Tattoo tour. Megadeth opened and kicked ass too. Anthrax was also on most of that tour but by the time they got to my area they were off the tour for some mysterious reason. Rumor was it was some beef with Nikki and Scott Ian. Scott was dating one of the Crue’s backup singer/dancers at the time. Not sure if that was really the reason but he later married her. Pearl is her name and she is actually Meatloaf’s daughter. Believe they are still married. Still haven’t seen Anthrax live yet.

I saw this tour. It's hard to believe this is over 20 years old now. I thought Samantha was great and a fresh addition to the Crue. At the time, I was over Tommy Lee with all of his "Tommy and Pam" tabloid hijinks and trying to be a rapper. Although I've always wished they had kept John Corabi on as a second guitarist to play rhythm behind Mick's leads and so they could do songs from the 1994 album (and let Vince give his voice a rest for a few songs, lol). Vince, Nikki, Mick, Sam, John, and the background singers would have made for an awesome version of the Crue.

'New Tattoo' was such a great fuckin' record. I know they don't like to acknowledge it because it didn't have Tommy on it, but Randy did a great job on it, and Sam did an awesome job covering for Randy while he was ill. I wouldn't have minded if she'd done a few studio tracks with them.
@TranzparentMethods5 жыл бұрын
It really was, to me, it was a return to form for the Crue, after the Corabi album, which I thought was great, it just didn't sound like the Crue and "Generation Swine", which had some great songs, but again, it didn't really sound like the Crue. Actually I would consider "New Tattoo" the last "great" Motley album. "Saints of Los Angeles" was kind of a let down for me. It sounded like a Sixx: AM to me with Vince on vocals and some solos from Mick. I love Sixx:AM, but to put out an album under the Motley Crue banner and most of the songs were written by James Michael, Nikki Sixx and DJ Ashba.

@zoranmajer5310 making millions of dollars, that's what he was doing with them. Lol. I love Mick but chances are we wouldn't be talking about him if it weren't for motley. So there's 2 reasons.
@laurieann65615 күн бұрын
Mick has been screwing up and the band has beenn taking the blame for him since the Dr. Feelgood album was made. Mick hasn't been on an Album since then. It has been John 5 or DJ Ashba playing. Not Mick playing. Not many know the difference. Mick just played on the videos.

What an amazing band, here again! Primal scream is one of the best songs ever, i just love Mick's style, no one uses a bottleneck like he does. And that girl on the drums, she's just a killer!!!! And again, to all of those who are making fun of Vince forgetting the lyrics, just watch the man, he beats them all!
