I know Vince Neil now sounds like a strangled cat when he sings, but i will always love Mötley Crüe and I will go see them live no matter what. Saw them in Melbourne way back in 1990 on the Dr Feelgood tour when I was 16 and it’s still the best concert I’ve been to and I’ve seen many since. Vince was absolutely amazing back then. He just needs to lose the weight and his voice will improve I reckon. I still had fun and Def Leppard were awesome as always.

I was at the very first show at Pookies! Micks gone and he was Motley Crue! John 5 is an excellent guitarist,nut it takes the soul out of the vmusic! They should have stopped in 2015 like they said! now they are going to go until it is a complete embarrassment ! Vince never really sounded god,in the club days ,he sucked bad! But there was something there and they just kept getting bigger and there were bands way better than them! Anyway,this is not Crue,it is just weird !

I was there, near the front about 30 rows back off to the side a bit, in the front of the house left screen. Nikki kept walking out in front of the screen and was maybe 20 meters from me which was great. Thanks for sharing, rewatching the show from a different perspective.

I gave this a chance because I'm a Motley Crue fan, but man... I'm so sorry Sydney. Really, I'm sorry for anyone who's spent their hard earned money to see any of the dates on these shows they've been doling out over the last few years. If you saw 'The Dirt' and are just now seeing them, this might be Motley Crue now, but it wasn't always like this. They used to be great. Their hearts sounded into being on stage with each other, kicking in the proverbial teeth of every person in the house with their unique brand of dirty, sleazy, bad-ass rock & roll. Nikki would command his space, turning round and round in circles, swing his bass with reckless abandon. Mick had animation and put every ounce of himself in every note that rang out of his guitars. Tommy was a force of nature, like a tornado, barely contained, threatening to take flight at any second. And Vince; he used to run from end to end, never staying in one place too long, making the people in the very back get up on their feet andget into the show as he actually sang the songs. Now, it's four guys who get up on a stage and play through a setlist predetermined years ago and stuck to year after year, time after time. And adding a medley doesn't cut it either. It all just looks like money grabbing today. It's fucking over. They used to fucking kill. Now, they're just three diluted, disconnected men with a hired hand who is a hell of a guitar virtuoso with no real character, presence, or charisma to speak of. But then again, how do you replace Mick Mars? There's absolutely no chemistry that comes through between the four of them. As a huge fan and someone who was lucky enough to've seen them way back when, it's just so fucking difficult to watch. And the song "The Dirt", WWWWHAT?!?! It's like when Motley died years ago, they were buried in the 'Pet Sematary' and this is what was resurrected.

It's good to see Vince slowly surely getting in better health and shape. John 5 is an ant guitarist. His resume speaks for itself. However his tone and way of playing is drastically different from Mick Mars. They sound like a totally different band. John 5 has superior technique needless to say yet Mick Mars had far better guitar tone. Nor did add all those flashy leads into the songs. Mars simply played the songs the way they were written.

Saw them in Quebec, Canada and meet Vince and Tommy at the sound check backstage.... They were very down to earth. On this Australian show the music sounds amazing and John 5's playing is amazing. FYI one of the guitarists of slipknot has a Tele and they're definitely not light and thin or whatever twangy whatever word you used to describe a single coil/lipstick Tele, the pickups deside a huge amount of what your tone will be, I could make the same random claim about les pauls cuz they have roughly the same body. He's playing custom shop tele's that fender made for him and his playing and then to do MC he had to have them take a router to them and put a Floyd on. You can say whatever you want comparing his tone to micks and the differences but he's not trying to perfectly reproduce his tone, he's litterally using his very distinct tone/set up to make it very clear that he John5 is the one playing not backing tracks. This is 100% j5 tone and playing. Glad I saw them for the Carnival of Sins tour in 2005 when Mick was playing.I think Vince was at his limit then and could only imagine now. The band was great and I remember it being a 37c or 98 f night in Melbourne and this was at 9:00 pm so inside the stadium it was full of flames and heat🔥🔥🔥 Definitely felt like a real Motley Crue cocert😂

Bring on the haters. I was at the Melbourne show. Great balls out rock show. Def leppard were sublime. These guys are the last people doing this. You'll never hear great rock without auto tune or sequencing or computer science again. Sad time that this type of music is dead. Def leppard though.... damn good.
