Moto Camping on a Vespa! - MotoVlog

Finally taking the Vespa for a Moto Camping trip after the Off-Road overhaul!

Three to four years ago when I got my Vespa GTV I've always wanted to use it for some long trips and mostly for camping, just because I love camping! Even tho that was one the first things I did as soon I got it, went for a night at a local Camp State Park, just to see what kind of things I would need to make the Vespa the perfect companion for solo Moto Camping!
But why a Vespa? Well, I asked myself that same question many times while working on this project, and I think is because of how comfortable and reliable a Vespa Scooter is, not just because of the riding position but also the storage capacity, and other things a scooter provides.
I was able to fully load this Vespa in a very "balanced" way to carry as much stuff as I could to achieve a comfortable camping setup and have everything I could need to be independent on the road and in the woods for as long as I wanted to.
I spend a lot of time brainstorming, searching, and trying hard to find every item, every bag, and every little thing I could need to make this a very functional setup. It took me a lot of time, money and testing, mostly with the luggage, like what kind of storage system to use? what brand would fit best the Vespa? where to place them correctly so their weight doesn't affect the handling of the bike or any safety issues? It was a lot!
I am really happy with how everything came together, still missing a few upgrades, like better after market shocks absorbers to handle that much weight, 14" wheels, and other minors things, but so far, this would be petty much my traveling setup, even if I'm not off-roading, with regular road tires the handling of the bike is way better!
I would be making a lot more videos related to the setup of the bike, I will be doing a bike tour video showing everything I did, not just in accessories but also mechanically, and reviewing all the items I would be using individually! Stay tuned!

Looks like you got everything! I never bring sh-t tickets because tobacco grows in the ditch beside the road from coast to coast in Canada. The only thing tobacco is good for. Big, soft fuzzy leaves.

Your setup is awesome! How many pounds of luggage and gear are you carrying? Also, I'm curious how you mounted your RotopaX - are those off-the-shelf brackets or custom? BTW, your camping video (both parts, but especially part 2 of 2) was excellent and incredibly peaceful. A deep bow to you!

Hey! Thank you so much!!! Mm not sure exactly how much it was the last time! I remember weight the front bags and it was more than 15kg, on the rear is was way more with the top case and the RotopaX!! Yes I used the L mounting brackets they offer but I been trying to make them out of aluminum because these are solid metal and it add a lot of extra weight! Thanks a lot man! I did!! Hahaha I use a paracord to put around the perimeter where I would be and I put little bells on it, not very convenience but it’s something, there’s a small device I want to get but it’s kinda expensive, but it’s kind the same principal of the cord but this is like shot gun if it’s activated hahaha! Yeah I saw these but they take a bit of room, this one: www.lockharttactical.com/component/hikashop/product/lockhart-tactical-statas-bang-master-kit it's like a tiny little square CNC thing that has like gun trigger and you can use it for different things like to shoot emergency flare and stuff.
