Thanks for that. I took mine apart to grease it but I could not figure out how to refit those external O rings. It's so easy when you know how! Thanks again.

What is that white clip for 6:59 ? And if it's gone will the speedo cable disconnect easily? I took out those screws completely from that white clip and couldnt put the screws back in as i didnt see the white clip. I think it fell fown in the scooter. And now ny speedometer doesn't work
@TheScooterBudАй бұрын
Hello, yes that clip is necessary in order to hold in place the attachment of the cable and keep it engage, this is the part: www.scooterwest.com/rear-brake-cable-typhoon-50-125-2012-newer.html

Glad to help! That little clip is a pain to put it back, but it’s very necessary in order for the speedo cable to work properly, the way I did, was to fully unscrew on of the screws and leave one half way through so it keeps the piece in place, good luck! ✌️😎
@elsizzle2000Ай бұрын
@@TheScooterBud yeah I didn't find out until too late. Those two screws that hold that clip wouldn't go back and I had no idea there wass a clip on other side. You think if I disassemble the speed again, that clip should just be sitting there and easily accessible or you think it has fallen down deep into the scooter body?
@TheScooterBudАй бұрын
Yeah you won’t know until you hear it fell down inside haha it’s such a bad design tbh… you can take a look, it’s defiantly there somewhere, probably under the floor fairing, but if you haven’t move the scooter at all you may be lucky and still be up there, it’s hard to get you hand inside while keeping the cable attached, so what you could do is undo the cable on the wheel so you can pull the speedometer farther up but you still Won’t be able to move it more because of the electrical conector so it’s very tricky but doable, just be patience

IF you have it, you won't need it. If you don't have it, you'll need it. Kinda like a rainsuit 🤣 Your comment about carrying extra sockets in case you can help others brought back a memory. A big pickup pulling an Airstream trailer was on the side of the road. I pulled over and the wife said I don't think you can help us. They had a flat on the trailer. I pulled out my patch and compressor and had 'em back on the road in about 30 minutes. She was totally different in respect after that. And I rode off into the sunset.....well, down the road anyhoo.

You have a 1 gal Rotopax for fuel and a 1.2 gal under the seat fuel cell. Just how far do you plan to ride without finding a gas station?! If you estimate only 60mpg you are carrying enough gas to take you over 250 miles! Why so much gas?

Dear friend, will it upset the balance of the Vespa? Would it be dangerous? If there is a problem, could it be less stable than the other unloaded vespa? @bibasina1982
@TheScooterBud2 ай бұрын
Adding a lot of extra weight it does affect the balance and safety if it’s done incorrectly, that’s why you have to be careful and be aware of how much weight and where you load it into the bike so you can handle the balance of the bike.✌️

My Vespa motor is not turning. I clean the variator, clutch and kick start. Everything looks ok but still not turning. I didn’t have to put any tool to hold the variator for not moving is not turning. I don’t want to keep taking things out that is not need it
@TheScooterBud3 ай бұрын
Hello! thanks for he comment! So what you're saying is your variator doesn't move at all? that's strange, you may have something else going on there... not 100% sure since I'm not an experienced mechanic on Vespas but it could be something with your piston or crankshaft or something else, I've never encounter with this type of issue, but this video is about fixing the starter motor if it's not fully working when the electric start button is pushed, but by what you're describing it may be something else is no related with the three main things to check first when a bike is not starting which is fuel, air, and spark... if you're not sure what you're doing I recommend contacting a local mechanic.

Hello from Romania . Quick question : i have a 2023 Vespa GTS 300 HPE Super Sport with 4000 km , and i recently upgraded it with a Polini Speed Bell Evolution , Polini Black Rollers 13 grams , but also changed the belt with a Piaggio original belt and also a new original Piaggio V-Belt Pulley . The clutch remained the original one , but at some low speed acceleration and then braking , or when i release the throttle at low speeds , i can hear a metallic rattling sound coming from the transmission , It sounds like some keys are dangling in your pocket over some coins , something like that , for a short period of time , maybe 1 second . Have you experienced this sound after changing things at transmission ? Many thanks
@TheScooterBud3 ай бұрын
Hello from Florida☀️! Thank you so much for sharing your upgrade experience with your Vespa GTS 300 HPE Super Sport. It sounds like you've made some exciting modifications! Regarding the metallic rattling sound from the transmission, most of the time, adjustments in new components can lead to new sounds. However, rattle sounds are a common thing for Vespas transmission but once they have wear out a bit, not brand new ones, if I were you, I would go over everything again, recheck everything is been torque correctly and that there are any loose parts. Wishing you safe and enjoyable rides ahead! Peace ✌️
@liviudodo3 ай бұрын
@@TheScooterBud Hello again and thanks for the answer . I just checked all the modifications again and it seems that the new rattle sound is from the new Speed Bell clutch which is lighter than the original one and also has bigger sound resonance because of the lighter material . But , the sound is not annoying or anything , because i hear it only sometimes , and for 1 second . By the way , only with this changes (12 grams rollers , new sliders and Polini Speed Bell clutch bell) i managed to obtain 7,8 - 8 seconds from 0 to 60 mph . I will also post new videos when the weather is ok :) . Have a nice day .
