This summer I've done quite a bit of motorcycle touring around my home province of British Columbia, Canada, which is my favourite place to be in the summertime! This video was filmed at Monck Provincial Park on the beautiful Nicola Lake on the way home from my recent Okanagan/Shuswap trip, my final night of moto camping before returning home to Vancouver. 🎥 Filmed and edited by me.

Go Girl!!!! hey grab a smallish folding garden saw and chuck it in your pack. Dead easy to grab fallen branches and cut them into 1 foot chunks. Pretty cool that you biker mate helped you out though. Cheers from Australia.... eg kzbin.info/www/bejne/faKrpWmPhNqchsU

@@MeganKaptein what? I mean they are dead fallen branches that are a fire risk? Never mind, anyway I'm a diehard Honda fan and thats a nice choice. I've had Vt750, Vf750f, Vf1000r, 2 of Vtr1000f's and currently a Vfr1200f. Its nice to see a lady enjoying bikes! Subscribed (stay safe though). PS - if you ever come to Oz, don't walk near waters edges where our saltwater crocs live (and no swimming).... no joke. We lose numerous tourists

If you want to ride in Canada, plan a stop for new tires, many Kms of atraight lines makes for flat spots and worn fast. If you’re thinking of transporting your own bike accross seas, regardless of on a cruise ship or fed ex, it’s a clean fuel purge and crated required. Also if you want to ride Canada, mid July and August is the optimal timing. Mid to late August commonly is hail season, and can suck in a tent when it’s the size of tennis balls. If BC is your choice location, practise periferal vision now, and riding looking up. There’s no shortage of room to check out your girls high speed legs, and routinely stretch them. Cities are very mild riding for the most part. BC also does have bike rentals FYI. Rock Hard, Ride Free, Canada has room for you and me.
@WDXash
@WDXash 3 жыл бұрын
As amazing as Canada looks, in reality, I can’t see me going to the trouble of transporting my own bike over there when I could hire one. it’s nice to imagine and have fanciful ideas, though. The other reality is that I live just over an hour away from the south coast of England where numerous ferries make the short hop across the Channel into Europe. I have to admit that Europe has everything, the roads, the scenery, mountains, lakes, various cultures, history, although Canada would be novel in that there are no borders to cross, no language barriers, and I’ve not been there...yet! Covid permitting, it’s on my list 👍

Some of my best memory’s are from camping on motorcycles trips, I’m from Quebec, Canada and I even went to California in 1990 on a Ninja 750, and spent almost 3 months there, what a trip best time of my life was on or around a bike always. 👍👍👍👍

Nice to hear from you, Daudi! Cool to know you were a biker in the past too. If you do ever pursue your license again, you’ll have a few of us rider friends form the salsa community (Shawn also rides, and Roger too!)

Well,again Megan, you’re killing me with these beautiful locations to camp.Hard to believe they ran out of firewood in the midst of all that forest.🤔I’m sure there’s a boatload of downed trees that could have been processed.Glad you had a great time!

Hah you would think, but you can't just go around chopping down trees i provincial parks. It's banned, believe it or not.

Megan Kaptein It’s the same in the states Megan, but already downed trees are ok.Surely, there are tons of them in the forest.They need to have a chain saw party!🎈

Enjoyed your video once again! You are so bright and positive energy! I love motocamping as well and just got back from a couple trips where I enjoy spending the time alone and really take in the solitude! Don't believe my videos are up to your par level but I am still striving to get better. Looking forward to your next episode.

Its a really romantic notion to tour by bike and then pitch a tent but after 24 years in the Army my body hates sleeping on the floor, glamping, B&Bs and hotels for me. Enjoyed the vid, keep up the great work.
