Moto G Stylus 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A52 5G - Who Will Win?

I have both phones, but I'm more pleased with the Moto g Stylus 5g, I love the fact that it has a bigger display at 1080p. It also has a colossus battery, has a wonderful stylus and costs a fraction of what the Galaxy a52 costs. So the Moto doesn't have NFC, big deal! I always pay with my debit card anyway. So it doesn't have 4K video recording, who cares!! But it does record at 1080p...just as good! I also don't need a super duper camera, since I only take an occasional photo here and there. So in conclusion, I take the Moto g Stylus 5g over the Samsung Galaxy A52, anytime!!

@@hman6159 A year or two ago I paid $500 for my galaxy a52 5g and recently, I paid $250 for my Moto g stylus 5g. I know that the a52 is an excellent phone with stereo speakers, super AMOLED 1080p display, excellent cameras, etc., but over the two I prefer the lesser of the two, the g stylus. Why? Because I'm a stylus freak! I used to own the Note 5 and the ill fated Note 7 because of the styluses. I love them!! Also, besides the stylus on the Moto g stylus, I love the 6.8 inch 1080p display! It's not amoled or has Gorilla 5, but I don't care because it's beautiful just the same. I love the cameras and even though it's not stereo, the sound is great! I'm blind and happy, what can I say!!

I agree Pepe. I had the A52 and the battery life was terrible. I had to charge it 3 times a day. I have had the moto stylus 5g since September and I love it. Only needs charged once a day. Motorola makes some nice phones. Better than Samsung in my opinion. I also have the moto g play 2021 and it is good too.

I have the Moto G Stylus 2020 and the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. I use them both and enjoy them as I use 2 phones. While I have Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Watch 3, Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite tablet and the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, I do prefer the Motorola user interface or Pixel interface as it is more polished. The finger print sensor is pretty bad on the Samsung too due to my right thumb has worn out print due to constantly swiping along the screen. My left thumb works great with the onscreen sensor as the print is more defined. Cold thumb? Forget about it working.... Motorola rear finger print sensor is way better. Always works correctly. No interest in upgrading any time soon but my next upgrade would most likely be a Motorola or Pixel A phone.

Thanks Kevin another great comparison video... Another "HUGE" advantage the Samsung A52 5G has over the Moto G Stylus 5G is in the update support department... A52 5G - three letter upgrades/monthly security patches over next 4-years vs G Stylus - one-letter upgrade/bi-monthly security patches over the next 2-years. And sure the A52 5G is like $100 more in US than G Stylus 5G (I'm in Canada) but for that $100 one gets... Better SoC, 120 Hz AMOLED display w/Gorilla Glass 5, IP67 rating, stereo speakers, superior support. IMHO the G Stylus 5's extra 128GB onboard (256), bigger display, larger battery, stylus pen, cannot make up for those shortfalls. P.S. Do love Motorla's near stock Android experience but they've been failing to hit it out of the park in 2021 (imo), tis a shame. I do own the 2020 G Stylus and now A52 5G so been there and done that, and still doing it lol.

Definitely agree with you. Samsung is definitely taking over the budget and midrange market in the US. I have the Moto G Stylus 2021, but I'm eyeing the a52 5G for better updates, battery, and NFC.

@@V_Grey004 I was content with my Moto's (still am w/present one's) mainly due to their price points. But then 2021 came along and things went south, especially here in Canada. It was bad enough they launched the majority of (2021) offerings w/A10, downgraded G Power (2021), but then they took forever to release in Canada. One Ace 5G late March, G Power late April, G Play late May... All officially released in beginning of January! G Stylus (2021) was not released in Canada nor was the G Stylus 5G. Then there's their price points, One Ace 5G here is actually more than I paid for the Samsung A52 5G, and if G Stylus 5G were available here, it too would have cost more. So yeah a no-brainer as to which is the better bang for the buck now. Dunno but get the feeling Motorola has put North America in the back seat so-to-speak, if that's the case kinda sad in a way but is what it is I suppose.

The Moto 5g is a beast for the price. Very nice phone the software is excellent. Peek display, shake for flashlight, and camera, moto has a very smooth experience and no lag.

The Samsung phone whips its ass though, the snapdragon 480 5g is on phones that cost 200 dollars, only 1080p video at 400 dollars, Motorola sucks!

@@hman6159 All Samsung really is, anymore, is the Android version of Apple. They're doing everything that Apple does. And their phones are ridiculously over priced. Motorola has always been considered an underdog and I personally think they're better than Samsung and Apple. 🤷

Well there is NFC on my moto g stylus 5g, maybe they've added. I brought a bunch of high priced phones and realized it's not that serious. My last expensive phone was a bust Samsung z fold 3. May have been my network but I'm pretty satisfied with this basic phone. Since I have other technology that makes it unnecessary to pay astronomical prices for a phone.

I went from a Samsung fold 4 to a moto g stylus due to a job loss. Just couldn't afford my phone. I am not missing it at all. Has everything I need and more. Love the large display and the big keyboard. Something I missed on the front screen of my fold 4. Always had to open it for larger keyboard. Paid $150 at Walmart. Over all a great phone with good battery life Just wish it didn't take so damn long to charge

It's a good phone. But it needs duel speekers. A larger batt 65000 mil amp. And saround sound. Earbuds with it. This phone. Would kill the compatition. For. 239. Dollars. ...

I wish there were an option to have a phone with these 2021 specs, but a 4 inch screen instead. I really do not want a bigger phone each time. I just want good functionality, extensive battery life, and a camera that works (unlike LG phones). Alternatively, I would legit be okay with a phone this size but a 4 inch screen, if it means I'll have 3 days of battery life.

Samsung lags too much. Moto surprisingly smooth and alot quicker plus battery last longer and my gaming experience is way better with Moto. Hands down best bang for buck

Not really if you care about the small features then get it .I have the moto stylus 5g I like it and u can go I developer options and make it faster etc I also have a iPhone 11 better camera but I still prefer budget phones I still have a cracked lg Stylo that still works

from what I'm reading from individual's personal experiences, the A52 looks better on paper. I've seen a lot of people saying the 52 is junk, but have read mostly positive reviews on the moto. I had a similar experience when i bought an A50 before it was offered in the U.S. It looked great looking at the specs, but was honestly disappointed by the performance.

I just got the A52 5G after my Pixel 4a 5G took a swim in the pool. I must say I am very impressed with its performance. The SD 750 G is snappy enough for me and camera is very comparable to the Pixel's, not as good but it does hold its own.

I got the Lg g8 thin and also samsung a52 5g and they were both supposed to be unlocked and I could not use them on my carrier. I finally got the Moto g Power and it is fine but not as fast as either of the other two. I don't need a lot but like just a bit more than basic but not have to spend a lot of money

A52 5G is kinda wack, have to keep changing from 5G to LTE only on AT&T, texts don't go through fairly often, I would have got the Umidigi S5 Pro for $169 in hindsight, I bought it for the wife and its insane for the price. Moto phones suck for photos, 2 second delay when taking photos, both umidigi and samsung are instant.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never been impressed with the AMOLED display. People make a bigger deal out of it than it really is. I've had phones in the past with it and it looks just like a normal lcd screen. It's hyped up.

It may be time to pick up a new prescription for glasses. I've had both brands and I like Moto's software better but the AMOLED display is definitely more vibrant and clearer. Easier to see in the sun as well. Moto's display feels so dull now.

Watching on my buggy LG Stylo 6 which by the way I got a couple of years ago from the recommendation of one of your videos. I've been looking at both of these phones. Do I sacrifice the stereo speakers and keep the stylus and go with the Moto g stylus 5g or do away with the stylus and keep the stereo speakers on the galaxy A52 5g . I gotta admit that emarald green is pretty,but the fact that the A52 5g gets 3 years of updates won me over. I had a Moto G5+ and liked the Moto gestures, but I'll do away with them and get used to some of the Samsung features.

I wanted that moto g stylus 5g cause that emerald green is nice, plus I missed the Moto gestures from my moto g5plus that i had before getting the stylo 6. But decided on the galaxy A52 5G with the three years update. More than the moto. Plus i sacrificed the stylus and keep the stereo speakers also. And we both got a galaxy watch 4 44mm from t-mobile.

I have the moto right aaaand I do not feel like the front camera is 16mp because it looks quite grainy to me and same for the back camera to me even though it's a whopping 48 it DOES look fantastic outside in the sun with a lot of little details and stuff but if you focus on it just right and you can kinda see like the noise right in the photo but it's power to me it's FAAAAANTASTIC but I'm coming from a Sammy 2017 j3 FUK THAT PHONE I hate it soo much but I didn't look at the specs for that phone but at the time I don't think it mattered at the time because that phone was like already two years old so compared to this phone to the j3 to me this phone is like a quantum leap for me because the j3 was trash to start I love my moto stylus it was like a promo for the carrier so I was able to get it for free. That Samsung wasn't a promo and I'm positive I see why oh the finger print scanner yeah I don't like where it is I can't hit the power button and have my finger on it at the same time but I don't think you use it that way but eh oh yeah the finish on it yeah that gloss back is SLICK it's slipping out of my hand rn as I type this. Oh to me the stylus is a gimmick to me I think it's actual competitor was the a12 it seemed closer to the moto because ironically the a12 is like that much better in terms of cpu I think they are close enough but yeah screen size is cool too yeah that's why I have a laptop and iPad to use too but I wouldn't have my iPad for my phone it be to hard to use it being Big and heavy. I don't think I'll upgrade in a loooong time from this phone because it works fantastically, I will when this phone blows up and when it can't be fixed at all because yeah a 120 hz screen would be cool, less jelly screen lol
