If it's got a 19" front wheel & 130mm travel up front & 115mm at the back then it's not just for the looks. They've also altered the steering geometry & altered the frame at the back of sub frame. Off road focus tyres Better seat, different bars-better brakes. The tank is the same as Interceptor-new TFT from Himalayan & guerilla. Lights are all LED. Foot pegs from the HImalayan & they've been moved. Gearing has been changed slightly to compensate for profile of tyres. 2 into 1 exhaust with a claimed 8% increase in torque. Low Up swept muffler which means you can get 2 bags of luggage on.

I’m curious about those stars. Does that make the Triumph Scrambler 400 a one star bike in terms of performance? As someone comparing the scramblers for a purchase? Is it wiser to just save money and jump to the Scrambler 900 for a 3 star experience?

I agree! Or at least a model similar using that 660 engine. I love the Scrambler 900s and have a 400x but I want something in the middle. I love how flickable my 400 is but would love a twin with a little more power, but keep it lighter weight and less expensive.

Forgive me but I’m from the USA and I often wonder ( I don’t know their numbers ) but why does royal enfield still get as much if not more coverage than other more popular manufacturers? I’m sure it’s popular in India since it’s produced there but why is it mentioned so much for a motorcycle that’s mediocre..

@darrylredmill437621 күн бұрын
Because they are so popular and have really revived the motorcycle in Europe. Affordable but still of pretty good quality. No not powerful, but 47bhp falls into the oh so lucrative restricted licence band. On British, pot holed , badly surfaced roads these are perfect for those country lane rides where 50mph is plenty.
@markermetz866421 күн бұрын
Also from the USA, but Royal Enfield sold almost 1 million bikes in the last year. Almost 80k of those were sold outside of Indian. Those numbers are in the same ball park as most other popular manufactures and bigger than some. Motorcycling is more utilitarian abroad. RE give people a touch more power, and more style than the scooters you see all over the world. Not to mention the price point makes it easy for young people to get into two wheels.
@markermetz866421 күн бұрын
@@darrylredmill4376 I agree with you on those points. They are still a bit of a rarity here in the states, but I think that is because those that do buy are just looking for an urban commuter. We have such massive expanses of highway between cities that a RE is not currently a great choice for pinning your throttle at 70mph for a few hours on end. If you lived in LA however, it would be a solid cheap choice to get around the city. Triumph was smart to jump in on this action with their new 400.
@ronak419520 күн бұрын
because not everyone want to drive above 120kmph always. This is great for commute and has adequate power for daily rides. Usa has roads designed for cars majorly hence you need fast bike there to travel on the massive roads. But Europe and Asia has normal roads it's best for them.
