Greetings from Vienna to the, in your own words, “crappy part of Europe!” What you lack on Motojitsu in subscribers you make up in terms of clarity. Keep it up, man. Love your videos!! I used to ride on street and track when I was younger. Then live and job and things got in the way and I had to stop. 30 years later I am now taking lessons again while I wait for my new bike to be delivered. Can’t wait. With your videos, I now understand some things that I intuitively did right back then, and I also understand why I did some things wrong. Cheers from an old dog learning new tricks!!!

Greg Widmar (MotoJitsu) is quite overrated and self-absorbed anyway. He has become sort of a douche recently by stretching his grasp beyond motorcycle training and entering ‘life advice’ - never a good idea, especially with his Ex-Marine-Corps know-it-all attitude. Also, his ‘books’ are lame and recycled common basic training contenr (if you can call them books, essentially being 40-ish pages of doodles for around 20$ apiece… printed somewhere in low-tier Chinese print sweatshop by glorious ‘Amazon Press’)

Dear Andrey your tutorials are priceless. I just bought a new bike that is heavier than what I’ve used to. It stressed me at first, taking it out for a ride every day for fear of losing control. Watching your videos and practicing every day, especially low speed maneuvers, I start to gain confidence and feel relaxed and comfortable on the bike more and more. Thank you.

This tutorial made me purchase perks and has made my riding SO much easier because before I saw this I thought I was what keeps the bike up, but in reality the bike is keeping me up and I am just guiding it. That is a HUGE mental breakthrough that allows me to ride with one hand to prove it.

Pretty good deal indeed! Tieing together slow speed turning, throttle control, friction zone all together makes it all much clearer. About to get my first bike in decades. Still have good reflexes and eyesight plus an ear for revs vs gearbox. So I am binge watching while completing the acquisition of a mint 02 Daytona. I really appreciate your comprehensive material clearly linked to fixing common rider problems. I am post retirement and would prefer to never drop it. I succeeded for six years of riding. With the help of your videos I will succeed again. Thanks for your work. /s/ Matt’s dad Dan

hi Andrey, I usually do the slow-speed circle & 8 loop exercise at 2nd gear (at constant 10kph) without any need for clutch or throttle control. I will certainly try the slow-speed maneuver at 1st gear with clutch control with some open throttle.

I would never ever belied that a huge hefty cruiser style bike could be manoeuvred so tightly, I know there are many riders with much lighter more agile bikes that cannot manoeuvre their bike like the one at the beginning of this video. It is amazing what a little technique can achieve.

@MotoControlEn2 жыл бұрын
I have never rode an electric bike yet, but since there is no minimal idle speed and almost no lag in power delivery - I hope that they can be controlled quite well on slow speeds too. Hope to check my theory in the future 😁

The most difficult part for me in working with the friction zone is to keep th throttle open. I always tend to close the throttle when doing low speed manoeuvres. Also when you release the clutch even a little bit, the revs drop. It may seem strange but working with the friction zone is difficult for me. Are there any tips you can give to be able to keep the throttle open ? Thx !

I have a question? I’m a semi new rider and I have a Honda goldwing dct… I usually work on slow speeds in rain mode and manual bcs I don’t have a clutch to use the friction zone… my question is what is the average speed for slow speed maneuvering? I’m trying to get more comfortable leaning the motorcycle… so my second question is how do I get more comfortable at counter balancing?
@MotoControlEn2 жыл бұрын
The average speed is probably 5-10mph, it's a bit easier if you go a little faster, especially with DCT😁. About counterbalancing - make sure you can make full-lock turns first, then pay close attention to what you're doing with your head and upper body - turn your head at least 90 degrees into the turn and turn your chest as well, so your shoulders become parallel to the handlebars, on Goldwing it matters, since the handlebars are rather wide. And once you become comfortable with that - you'll probably notice that counterbalancing suddenly became pretty easy!

I have an amazing (maybe) idea how to do low speed clutch engaged training on small bikes. As a matter of fact usually you don't need a clutch for low speed maneuverers on smaller bikes, but it's very good skill if you are going to jump on something bigger later. So, my idea is to do clutch control training on 2 gear instead of first. It seems like quite nice simulation, isn't it?
@MotoControlEn2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do that, or you can try to go slower. This way you'll also need good clutch control on smaller bike!
@wonniethepoop78562 жыл бұрын
@@MotoControlEn yes I can, but "bike stalling" situation caused by low revs like you've mentioned in this video is not possible. Honestly I didn't know, you can stall the bike by releasing the throttle. I ride the same 150cc bajaj boxer like you did recently and it doesn't stall with throttle off. Even on second gear I have to open it just slightly without stalling. Anyway I'm glad my idea of training on 2nd gear isn't mad or stupid, so thank you very much for answer abd for amazing lessons. I'm able to ride mostly because of it.
@borisb5163 Жыл бұрын
Even dumping the clutch without open throttle will not stall it? I would think you likely already have good clutch control.
@wonniethepoop7856 Жыл бұрын
@@borisb5163 I'm not very experienced, so sometimes I stall my 150 cc bike in case I release clutch too fast. But when bike is hot I'm even start from second gear sometimes.
