Great video and great reminder for us parents. Unfortunately I probably have been every one of those dad’s at some point. He’s 20 now and still loves to ride and we are very close so it worked out hahaha. I think I’ll call him and apologize right now for putting to much pressure on him when he was young and learning to ride

Brianna Deegan, I'm rolling at that stab lol. Helpful video, I am pretty good at riding and was asked by a mom at the local track to help her kid learn how to ride. Doing vs. teaching is very different!! Definitely struggling a bit trying to teach him but words of encouragement and hype are definitely the way to go.

Great examples: I personally had the ‘guilt trip’ dad combined with ‘because he can’ dad 🙈 I never received constructive feedback all I got was “you should see how …….. was going through there, he was so fast” When I asked what he was doing differently there was no feedback. But having a dad that was a terrible coach made me see the importance of a coach and when I was older I found a great coach and then became a coach myself.

I started riding late in my life at 14 My Oldest Brother Displayed most of the stereotype's the guilt of riding, shaming I didn't go fast, and of course not cut out sell the damn thing. With the trials and errors it encouraged myself to get better which is why I watched MxFactory, Ryno, AJ Catanzaro to get my technique. It took a couple of rides, crashes, and hours of technique but i found my speed as i can be able to ride almost his level as his bike being a Husqvarna 501 vs my KX100. It's been 2 or 3 years been loaded with work and i found appreciation for doing just any activity really. Always display gratitude even if the experience was bad it goes a long way. Im grown out of the kx100 im having a difficult time of figuring out what bike i want as my brother and cousin's insists on their takes of what bike i get. I just want to be out there again, it's been far too long. Thank your Tyler for this video, not even being little i could still relate to those predicaments. Thank You for all those years of Lesson's and Tips. 🙏

Thanks Tyler for a great video to all of us moto parents. I think I can behave normally on the track with my son and there and in the car back to home we have fun and there are no problems. On the track my son´s consentration to ride his bike is very good. But sometimes when he does some "other tricks" off the track what he should not do (he has a diagnosed ADD and without that medication he may be VERY lively) I may say to him that we are not going to ride this week because of that he did (again). But then after a few hours we go anyway...We both enjoy mx so much. During weekends he doesn´t use his medication. Only for school days. Greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮

I know families with second and third mortgages on their homes to pay for their kids to go dirt bike racing. I know one family in particular that sold their house and there entire construction company so they could move to Florida to help facilitate their 10-year-old racing. On one hand I'm Amazed by what people are willing to do for their children and on the other hand I can't believe the financial risk that some families are willing to make for a very very small percentage of a chance that their kid could become a professional racer.

yea Tyler is just to nice to be the bad guy 🤣 but its better this way 🙂 i cant wait till my son is old enough to get his first bike. Tyler what do you think would be the best age to start? he is pretty fast allready, 8 months old and allmost walking by him self. i guess 3-4 years would be good to get him a small electric dirtbike thingy were he can slow learn balance and throttle control, i hope he likes dirt bikes. nice video. i really try to teach him all you told me in all your videos. i learned a lot and got a lot faster, thanks to mx factory!!! good luck i am only hobby rider, so he will never get pressure from me to go racing or be the best. he can do however he has most fun! thats whats most important 🙂
