On the air box, if you remove the front bracket and velocity stacks the air box will lift up and tilt back so you can get to the plugs without removing injectors

I noticed that some service manuals now seem to try make some jobs look more scary than they are. The VStrom when I was doing the valves wanted me to remove the throttle bodies and everything, absolutely not necessary. Nice to have an actual lazy person like myself getting things done effectively :P I actually now do a little wrap of tape around dodgey driver bits as I've had too many close calls. Space to do valves doesn't look horrible. Ride by wire really doesn't look tasty :/ But cruise control tho......gerdammit. You didn't do the lick test on the old plug......missed opportunity. Very interesting to see my future bike being worked on :P Hahahahaha I love the honesty at the end :P As I said, we've all been there and it's not ideal. I type as I watch, I quote, "I actually now do a little wrap of tape around dodgey driver bits as I've had too many close calls." Tape is your friend my friend :D

The tape trick on driver bits is a solid idea I will use in the future!!! Yeah, I can't live without my cruise control anymore. Between cruise and a legit full windscreen I want to sell my ZX10 and upgrade to the latest gen. Lick test on the old plug?? I will take care of your future bike as if it is my own....LOL.

I have 6000km on my gen 3 busa and the 2nd service is due this month. Should I change the spark plugs or keep then until next year? Thanks

Hello , how are you ? I just reached around 9500 miles in my busa 22. do you think it’s time to change the sparks ? If yes what kind of sparks you advise me to buy ?

If you go by the book, 7500 miles is the service limit for plugs. All that said, I went over 12k before I changed mine in this video. I would stick to what the Manufacture recommends. Any dealer should be able to tell you what that is. It should also say this in the owners manual. you don't need a big shop manual for plug's or maintenance intervals generally speaking.

Except you didn't show/detail how you got the ignition coil connectors off, which is part of changing the spark plugs. That's what I really came here to see. I saw you in there with what looked like a heat gun. What was that for?

The ignition coils and the spark plug caps are one piece. You twist and pull at the same time and the plug caps come off. No need to disconnect any additional wires. I was using a vacuum cleaner not a heat gun to clean any loose dirt/debri before pulling out the plugs. Just to make sure nothing falls into the combustion chamber.

@ Yeah, I figured it out today. Just turned, twisted and pulled and they came out. Okay on the vacuum, understood. Yes, I had some dust and dirt in there too I had to clean out really good. If you have any tips/tricks on how to get the valve cover off, love to hear it, if you’ve ever done it.

I haven't pulled the cover off on the Busa but if you are doing a valve clearance check it does make it easier to turn the engine over and line up the timing marks with no spark plugs in...

@@MonkeyButtRides I'm replacing the stock cams with Brock's Performance cams. Will have to do a valve clearance check after the install. I've got everything off up to the valve cover, including the PAIR valve stuff. Watched Brock's video on the install and he had a heck of time getting the valve cover off. Ended up damaging it a bit on removal. I guess I'm just going to have to be patient but persistent with it. But it needs to come off one way or the other.
