in response to both David and L.A: In the UK up until this week the coronavirus laws prevented anyone from leaving their homes unless its essential (daily exercise includes running, walking, or cycling). It's all so that there is less stress on our government funded health service, which provides care for us. It would be very unfair for someone who is already being overworked for covid patients, to provide medical attention to someone who just wanted a ride.

this is invalid now due to the current law changes, but in the sense of the past: It's not about you. If you fall off, who's gonna provide medical assistance to you? The NHS workers who are overworked struggling to keep the death rates down. If your trip isn't essential, it's selfish.

However, I go out when my elderly relatives need food essentials. it's hard to get food delivered in this rea as all the slots are booked so i class my trip as essential. I like how last guy implied "I'm 19/20, why would you call my parents" then proceeds to say he lives with his parents. If people know where you live, they can call the cops on you and if your parents are home they're going to have to deal with your shit. Admittedly the kid wasn't that bad, but he was still a little stuffy with what was ultimately a good cop. Cop KNEW it was him and could've done more, even if just to inconvenience him but he didn't. Cop was super polite even going so far as to say nothing was coming from it way early in the conversation. On top of that it was a weak ass sloppy wheely that was very much dangerous to others around.
@johnackerman94414 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly. The cop says “don’t make me call your parents”. Because he already knows where this kid lives. But to be a douche and add subtitles “Yes cause that does a whole lot when you’re an adult lmao”. Nope dude, you aren’t an adult yet. You’re right though he wasn’t that bad but it was still pretty pretentious. The officer was being incredibly reasonable so a bit more respect could’ve been shown.
