@lonestarcruzer428 жыл бұрын
I believe 232cc is the absolute max, and that's bored and stroked. You'll need water and oil cooling at that point for sure... It costs more than a used 300cc sportsbike too.
@aaronferguson23578 жыл бұрын
I know that 700cc raptors and 450 yzfs are really fun. It'd be nearly impossible to pull off though, chain driven and need a place for a radiator. That would be epic though no doubt.

+Mainfold from wanted easy, low maintenance, push button start Ruckus. This is my jump on and go bike :)
@HalfdeadRider8 жыл бұрын
Those that think it was a waist of time for "15" mph forget the different looks and that the acceleration would increase too, it's hard to tell on video but with 171cc and those little wheels that thing must fly up to it's top speed.
@Doogleraia8 жыл бұрын
If the thing had regular sized motorcycle wheels (like wheels off of something like the R3 etc), it'd for sure do at least 110+, as the thing seems to run out of engine before anything else. Not power, just won't do more RPM but there's other factors restricting it. Obviously if he had done a gear-mod for it (like some do on the Ruckus') it'd for sure go a ton faster, but that's A LOT of work and I don't think the ruck shop etc carry those kits. Would be dope though, but at that point you might as well just buy an engine and gear setup straight off of a gear-scooter ¯\(ツ)/¯
@edhiebert79498 жыл бұрын
232cc requires boring out the case (and changing the crank I think). The cylinder he used is the biggest bolt in, no machining required. Much easier for diy. Who knows, he might take that on later, especially if he ports the head like the pro builder suggested. It's a sickness once you start. :)
@MetroLinerXLZ8 жыл бұрын
Ed, that is incorrect. You need a B-Block style GY6 case, 67mm piston, extended chain and chain guides, and +8 stroker crank. Only Taida makes those components but quite a few dealers sell the parts to build one or even a full complete engine. Boring out the case on a standard A-Block GY6 is pointless for a 67mm piston, there's no case material left to safely seat the piston. The B-Block case already comes pre-bored (with extra metal material) to accomodate the 67mm piston.

When you do the rollers, I was told to give slack in the belt before torquing the driveface, or what I call "variator fan" nut, basically so it doesn't tighten up against the belt and goes fully into place. You can do it by squeezing the clutch pulley apart with your hands and it pushes the belt right up and should stay there. Then just rotate the belt a little by hand to put it back mostly in place, and starting the engine will reset it back rest of the way. I didn't know this for a month or 2 and it was giving me weird/unpredictable results when tuning my rollers.

I had the use of a 125 cc Honda scooter some years back fully auto it hit 60 fast with a top speed a little over 65, this machine was standard , have to say for a 125 I was really impressed, My 198cc Durkop scooter would do 75 without too much effort and that was a twp stroke built back in the fifties, it was heavy and did not accelerate like the Honda., Have to say I think you still have some restriction going on in that machine, really it aught to be hitting 80 plus.
