Here's my experience with this OBD 2 scanner. I've got some mechanical experience but am not a pro nor expert. I knew next to nothing about OBD 2 yesterday and now know a few basics. This video is meant to show how this scanner works and to help define some of the terms you'll see on its screen. Please comment if you have helpful info to add. Hope this video is useful for home mechanics.
PID: OBD-II PIDs (On-board diagnostics Parameter IDs) are codes used to request data from a vehicle, used as a diagnostic tool.
MIL: The Malfunction Indicator Light or MIL is the technical name for the Check Engine Light.
