Mityvac makes a kit, MITMVA670 and OEMTOOLS makes another, 27311. I use the Mityvac kit and it works well.

Thanks..never thought of using vacuum on the steering....

Hello Pete!!! Can we apply this technique to additional systems on the vehicle ?
@MotorAgeMagazine5 жыл бұрын
You can use vacuum to bleed any hydraulic system but the process for brakes and/or clutches is not the same. Sounds like another video topic!

Amazon had several to choose from - including a set from OTC that replaces the cap rather than rely on a wedge effect. Like Pauly, though, I bought the OEMTOOLS 27311 kit.

I have a 2004 Buick Park Ave Ultra. the power steering is doing the moaning. How do I check this one out?

Follow the process in this video. How old is the pump?

@@MotorAgeMagazine no clue. I bought it when it had a hundred sixty thousand miles. It was well maintained. I'm thinking it might be the original. The moaning started when I turn left. Now it's getting more of a constant when I turn right or left.

@@pmritzen2597 Use the vacuum technique I show in the video. If it never holds, there's a leak

@@MotorAgeMagazine thank you for your help! It's nice to know I can get help when I need it most. Your service tips have been very helpful and reduce a lot of trial and error as well as out of pocket expense. You guys wouldn't be Guardian Angels would you? LOL
