Consider buying a scooter outright.. If you get a pretty good price buying it you can probably resell it 1 or 2 weeks before you leave and break even. You can save a bunch doing that and scooters can be bought and sold pretty easily on face book marketplace. Good luck.

no it is not, just a valid drivers license from where you’re from… that will suffice for 90 days. or get an International Drivers Permit from your Country before coming here and that is good for 1 year.. i did not do that but wish i did. I am going to start the Philippines Drivers License process next week, rather easy but you have to be here at least 30 days before you can start that

@@chubsDubC To defend tomoneill, I agree you did a bad job going over the prices. You an get an idea you can get a cheap one for 300, but the prices range from a 125cc and a 150cc, if the bike is a honda vs a no brand bike. You spent 5 seconds of the video where the guy briefly says the prices. You also failed to talk about important things like insurance which runs 60 to 90 PHP a day. If you don't have insurance and the bike gets stolen you have to pay 80,000 PHP for the bike. I just stopped by a place in Manila and it was around 500 PHP for a 125cc honda, and I believe 600 PHP for a 150cc. The prices get discounted if you rent for over a week also.

dirtbikes… 150cc @ 750p/13usd per day, 250cc @ 1200/20 a day if you know how to ride not much unsafe unless raining and then watch out for painted lines on roads, of course lunch and 4pm on traffic is crazier but you can dodge & weave however you want.. no one messes with bikes here that i know of so youll be ok.. of course no drink/drive or if caught could be bad or extorted for $$$

I see most of the videos are around fields. Is there really anything to do besides go to the mall other than the walking Street area? in general it is safe, the heavy Police presence everywhere helps with that.. late late at night i hear sketchy individuals may target the overly drunk but just know not to carry important stuffs at that time/limited cash etc.. travel services can direct you to local excursions etc.. im still trying to get into long term apartments so im not living out of a suitcase, then i also can venture 😁
