Watched It once again. Still love it. A dessert in full bloom is beautiful and rare and with all that water must have made it a big challenge. Keep those adventures coming. The Magadan was amazing. Cheers from Sweden. 😀🍻

@roddy222 Frankly, I think four wheels is tougher than two. You don't have that side ways movement on the bike. With the two wheels, its just mainly a back and forth motion.

@ItsBrianH Thanks for your positive comments. The disappointing thing for me, is the effort required to produce this is enormous and despite the improved quality and story telling, not many people are watching it. I have some other longer stories well told, but it seems the youtube audience in ready for longer stuff.

Hey Mr Edog ( if that is in fact your real name ) great work mate. It may or maynot interest you to know after watching a few of your epics , especially the tenere/ high country effort, I was inspired enough to go get myself a camera and its a blast. Got a long ways to go to match your exellence tho. Hope you make it onto the tele, keep em coming...ride safe. ps did this same trip on 4 wheels a couple of years back , after rain, the mud is ridiculous!!!

It’s a beautiful area. I’d like to see you have a crack at Dune 7 in Namibia. It’s a lot easier to get to...but it’s 383 metres high! The world’s highest sand dune. You can rent quad bikes at the bottom.

@edog200 I just stumbled across your videos. They stand out above the vast majority of stuff on youtube. So many people are simply posting raw video, or crudely edited with a simple soundtrack overlay. I encourage you to keep it up. It's refreshing to see such good quality work that actually feels like it's worth the time spent watching it.

I know this was a while back, but the info wasn't quite correct. It's called the Inland Taipan, or Fierce Snake, and it's THE most deadly snake in the world.

ya know for long trips and the unknown with weather and such u should design a snorkel that snaps on the airbox and sits say on ur shoulder,that way even if the bike went down more likely than not the rider would still be standing above the water level and no water in the motor?i d k just a thought,i know it would be a crappy mass production peice,but for adventures like this it would be worth its wieght in gold

Thanks, Standing at 30 metres in height, this awesome sand dune, Big Red, provides a challenge for any four wheel drive enthusiast. The one of 1113 dunes in the Simpson Desert. 25º 52' 44.54" S 139º 03' 11.33" E Look it up on Google Earth.

Keep looking, There are numerous references to 1,500. The first dunes are 1 to a couple of metres in height and are not counted by some references.
@stewartmcintyre44318 жыл бұрын
Driving the dunesBeing the largest area of parallel sand dunes in the world, the Simpson’s biggest 4WDing challenge is undoubtedly the climbs. The desert’s 1100 dunes run north to south so crossing them is unavoidable when travelling east to west on the QAA line. The dunes are large and well defined in this area of the desert and the swales are wide and clay-based. The track’s popularity means that it’s rough and rutted with inexperienced desert drivers severely damaging the dunes.
