Motorcycle cannot start

Haven't ridden this motorcycle for two years and it's been sitting in the garage all the time, the battery is dead and it has just been replaced it with a new one. The oil light keeps flashing when powered on, but it won't start when I press the start button. I checked and it still has gas. This is 2009 Kawasaki ZX-6R. What should I check?

Did it ever start back up? I have the same 2009 ZX6r. It sat for 1 year and 3 months and just started back up. I had to cyphon out the old gas and filled it up with some new gas and it started up after I jumped it

Ok turned out that i need to wait for a while for the new battery to work, it's one of that type where you pour in electrolytes yourself.
