There's one thing I missed in this video for clarity. MV and Ducati CAN be compared in terms of supersports, even though the Ducati Supersport is a larger capacity bike, the MV F3 is a more powerful higher performance machine. The F3, especially with the new RR version, can even compete with the Panigale V2 in terms of performance. Even if you add this segment its close, but for me MV wins as I'm a sucker for that F3 design.

I recently purchased a 2012 MV Agusta Brutale 1090 rr. Man what a ferocious engine even in rain 🌧 mode. It just pulls and pulls and that exhaust note as the engine spools down, the pops gurgles and growl is addictive. The thing is I love looking at it just as much as I love riding it. If price was never an issue, I would always go MV > Ducati. Hoping to buy a new model MV dragster 800 sometime in the next few years 🏍🇮🇹🖤!!

MV every time, can't beat the uniqueness. You almost never see another one especially if you own an F4. Ducatis are great bikes but the emotions that MVs stirr is unbeatable. I get hyped every time I open the garage.

I agree with you 100% on the middleweight nakeds. So much so, that I bought a Dragster 800 earlier this year... I've riden my friends Monster 1200s and I tell you what, the monster has more punch at the bottom end, but in a twisty road there is nothing it can do to keep up with the dragster... its not even close... Styling is such a subjective thing, Again - I agree with you that MV make the best looking bikes on the planet. What I will say is this though, You can't compare two bikes without spending time around them and on them... Looking at them in person, feeling the build quality, looking over all the fine details and little design features that you don't see in all these pictures... Literally, nothing compares to the M.V... They are a cut above everything else on the road, but they are not without their downsides... Maintenance on them is frequent and expensive. So much goes into comparing bikes, especially bikes as amazing as Ducati and MV Agusta bikes. I would highly recommend getting out and test riding them if you can ;) it will change your life and ABUSE your wallet!

This is the comparison I’ve been waiting for. Totally unbiased. I would however say Mv is better because when people are in the market for an Italian exotic then money isn’t top priority. However, I would say Mvs are more extreme and Ducatis are more compromised. Mvs resemble Lamborghinis so much. Not only in design but we have a dealer here in Detroit and having gone to many Lamborghini dealers I can say the Mv Agusta dealership gave me the same exclusive exotic vibes. There were only two bikes in the showroom 😂. And they were on desplay like artwork. There was a lounge with Race suites and artwork. You had to order and spec your Mv so they could taylor it to you in Italy. Truly a notch above any other bike manufacturer in my humble opinion.

Yeah I'd agree, it's actually kind of sad to me that they've started to look more like Lamborghinis in terms of design then Ferrari. Like the original F4 is the Ferrari of motorcycles to me, sleek simple but beautiful, whereas the rush or brutale 1000 are wild and aggressive and crazy looking. Not as much my cup of tea as their other bikes, like the Superveloce. Much love!

@@bartmotorcycle I would say in terms of design, Mvs resemble Lamborghini because of they’re crazy aesthetics over function. However, I believe they still resemble Ferraris because of they’re high pitched, high reving, f1 sounding engines. Ducati Id say is the opposite. All of their bikes still have the red on the top part of the engine to resemble the Ferrari Testerosa. Mv is staying true to its roots id say. Great video by the way! Subbed and waiting for more Mv content.

@@xaviergarno5348 yeah I hope so! I'm wanting to get an original f4. I spent a long time looking at their current stuff, and its all a bit too much for me and for how I ride, and I love classic motorcycles so for me the original F4 750 is perfect, its a classic, iconic bike, about 130 horsepower so still fast but not as crazy, they're certainly going to go up in value over the next 30 years, like I think they're at their lowest price right now. I do think the current F3s are amazing looking but that's the original design.

it's kinda stunning for me to see this comparison, MV is such a small company compared to Ducati, and the workline of MV is much more handmade oriented, I don't think I've ever heard someone here (same city as MV) try to bring this kind of argument up. It's common to explain MV style here referring to their role in helicopter production and design. Still a nice entertaining vid btw

I simply loved your video and couldn't agree with you more. Ducati is the Ferrari of Motorcycles and MV is, for sure, Lamborghini. Aprilia, IMHO, is Maserati at best, hehehe. And, like you, I am a huge MV fan. I think they are the most beautifully designed motorcycles ever. And it would be a dream to get one. I do hope they bring the F4 back again, and have a similar version to the Claudio edition, that would be a dream to have.

Great video! 😂 I generally agree with you regarding the styling of these two manufacturers. Both have gorgeous looking bikes but I think MV Agusta has the edge…except for the Rush (vs the Streetfighter). IMO, I think the Rush is a bit over-designed. It’s the one bike in MV’s lineup that doesn’t appeal to me aesthetically. 😊

Plus, the seating was not comfortable. The TV is a sport-tourer.. and I have no intention of riding off road. I love the looks so much more...

Turismo Velocce = Sport Touring Not an Adventure Bike Best compared to the Hyperstrada or Super Sport
@bartmotorcycle
@bartmotorcycle 3 жыл бұрын
The hyperstrada I can see for sure, the supersport is just a middleweight sport bike. There's a really interesting podcast called brap talk, ep 70 I believe, where they briefly talk about how mv messed up their target audience with the Turismo. Essentially they were trying to grab some of the 'touring' segment that's so massive in the US. But touring here means something completely different than in Europe. There it's more sport touring like you said, here it's cruisers and full on adventure bikes. But you're right the Turismo is neither

I had the chance to ride the F3RR,, and well, its basically the best sport bike i ever ridden, and I have M1000RR etc,, just the F3RR is actually usable, already kinda too much for road use, so light and nimble, perfect amount of power,, just perfect. But to work on, horrible,, the F4 is amazing, took me 2h to strip the entire bike to bare frame.

Why isn't mv as widely known as others? When we ask people about euro bikes their list is something like this Ducati BMW Aprilia Ummm ..KTM and people start scratching their head almost for a minute and say MV Augusta after a whole minute why is that so?
@icksv5529
@icksv5529 Жыл бұрын
For different reasons. Aprilia was a top runner in Moto GP accompanied also by Italian championship pilots like Biaggi e Rossi so it has a lot of exposure. Same story with Ducati but with an extra, Ducati top pilots were coming from different countries and this helped the international marketing. BMW, to be honest, in Italy was absolutely nothing except for those riding the GS which was basically the main one you could see in Italy. When BMW entered into the sport segment area, nobody really trusted it at least in Italy, we are mainly japan bikers, but they did pretty well and with the pollution rules that cut out the 600cc in Europe, now BMW it's pretty popular, the S1000RR it's impressive. KTM was basically nothing except for motocross lovers who instead had it in great consideration together with Husqvarna. When KTM came out with their mototard segment, things changed and they became a popular known brand for everybody, their 990 was such a thing that I was close to buy one even if I come from the sport segment. MV Agusta was founded like during WWII but it has a problematic story of change of management, wrong investment and its presence in the motorbike championship basically ends in 1974 so it's hard for those who were born after that year knowing this brand, which is also pretty small compare to the others. You have to wait the 98 to see the restart, when the company was joined by the designer Tamburini father of the F4 model. To all of this you need to add the fact that Agusta is expensive, bit less than Ducati, but it has less presence around the world and like Ducati, compare to other brands, it's not really known has a reliable motorcycle, which true or false, it has an influence on the buyers. For example, in my case I would like a Brutale 1000rs or a Ducati V4 or a Streetfighter, but the problems I hear about on youtube are as such, that a japanese may be more viable.

I own 2 MVs and 3 Ducatis and the Ducati bikes are more exiting to ride, much better sorted out bikes but when it comes to beauty, the MV is hard to beat. Also getting parts for the MVs is almost impossible, even for bikes still in production. I waited 6 months for a Sprag clutch and 4 months for a turn signal, there goes your riding season.
