Reasons are first vishwakarma God is God of architecture or creation, so during that time we worship our vehicles or tools like hammer or anything which creates anything materialistic., as it gives new journey, secondly your life depends on vehicle while driving bad or negative energy attached to it could harm you so we worship vehicle when it's new to throw away negative energy from it. We don't worship vehicle as God, but we worship God to give blessings to the vehicle and to keep us safe from accidents. 😊

Not deity exactly and not just motorcycle. It falls under respect for Tools and Instruments. Tools and vehicles are integral to many people's livelihoods, and they are treated with respect as they facilitate one's work and daily life. By cleaning and worshiping them, people express gratitude for these objects that help them earn their living. Especially when buying a new one.

I’ve spent a total of 3 months in India (plus 1 in Nepal, 4 months in Sri Lanka….being similar cultures) and feel I have barely scratched the surface…all so rich with experiences. She tells the story of that man in this video...there are many soldiers who already died and are still protecting the border after death ... Amazing is an understatement. The country is colorful and rich in history. My grandparents came from India to British Guiana back in the old days so we inherited a bit of their culture. Both my wife and her brother went to school in Rajasthan. My wife graduated in Physical Therapy and her Brother in Medicine. They are both successful in their respective fields in the USA. I would recommend you to check more about kumbhalgarh fort and chittorgarh fort, kumbhalgarh fort was built by the mighty 7ft king raja kumbha and it is surrounded by beautiful aravali region (it was worlds biggest mountain range before Himalayas were formed) Both mentioned forts are architectural marvels as both are not easy to defeat so no one used to dare them or start war against these kings. Well indian history is so rich and well preserved you can find many videos about it.

Jodhpurs gave the name to horse riding apparel worn by elite sportsmen and royals. Another thing the British adopted from their colonial days. My great grand father served in the Indian Army in What is now Pune. He commanded a regiment of Indian cavalry and we have photographs of him wearing jodhpurs. You are bringing some wonderful country into our homes.

Why is it every time I watch your videos,I’m instantly back in school for either an History or a Geography lesson. Then you add a splash of natural history for good measure. Indeed well said Barry! I would have got straight A's in history and geography if I had Noraly as a teacher. And just like these videos I'd be waiting in anticipation to get into class and never miss one! Om Banna has become something of a patron saint for travellers, truckers particularly, who will stop and make an offering for safe travel. One story had him drunk before he hit the tree, so pouring some alcohol on the ground has become a traditional offering.

thank you so much for your love for my country but I would like to correct you. British fell in love with India's wealth and prosperity which they looted during British rule. Although We Indians dont hold any grudges for present day British people , they are most welcome as a tourist.

The monkey catching her baby as it jumped onto the fence was so cool. Those random moments you catch are so special. Thank you. I am struck by all the dieties they find to worship in India. Paul had the same observation when he stayed in Athens. (Acts 17) The search for meaning is universal to any culture. Thank you for giving us a view into India.

Actually the bike is not the deity, but the tool that is worshipped. The deity is Viswakarma, according to Hinduism he is the chief architect of the Demi Gods in the 5th realm. So every material construction has his spirit thus Hindus worship the tools they work with. The viswakarma clan who build the ancient temples were considered to be taught by the diety himself, during special days of the year they worship the tools they use to carve the temples. Similarly children worship the books, farmers worship their tools etc. It's like casting an enchantment onto the tools. But in this case the bullet is enchanted so much that they believe the spirit has elevated.

Wow, this episode was packed with a variety of experiences. From the title, I was thinking...ahh a new display of Basanti. Quite an interesting story behind the bike and the deceased owner. You certainly had a variety of animals on your trip today. I was curious at the fort why the men were taking camels for a hike thru the fort until you explained the construction goin on lol. Looked like a very peaceful way to end your day, with the boat ride and the oh so very colorful, talented dancers. Loved the video, Noraly.

Once again the finest examples of architecture, history and nimble maneuvering through streets that must certainly be a challenge. I’m struck by the vastly different cultures of India compared with what I’ve just come to think of as ‘normal’. The ornate details of the ancient buildings is remarkable and surely you made the right decision to take a short jaunt on one of the lakes. It is not just the motorcycle, in Hindu culture, gratitude is a key component. All the machines, tools including vehicles, and even weapons are worshipped with prayers to bless the users with success and safety etc. Similarly, animals and natural resources are worshipped too. I love your content 👌
