Pakistan was one of our favourite countries on our RTW, the friendliness and hospitality of its people is amazing. Especially the biking fraternity.

Hi Katrina, lovely to see your message as I have followed Greame and your trip which was similar to ours from memory. Yeah the Stan's in general were a highlight and totally misunderstood/under the radar for most people. I hope you guys are keeping well and still riding.

I’m fascinated by Pakistan; and it’s so good you’re not just riding through, but experiencing the people and culture. Also like how you come back to the bikes and talk mechanics (or tyres, actually) which is good variety. You really spice up your videos. Some really interesting moments here gents, filmed in exquisite 4K like usual. Bring on Part 2!

Always good to hear your feedback mate. Pakistan is a favourite of us, we can't show all the amazing people we met or the videos would be hours long. We should have the next video out this weekend and shows a fair bit more scenery including some of the best adv roads you could imagine. Pakistan really is a paradise in many ways, so sad it had such a bad reputation

It's been a long(er) time coming but well worth the wait. Great video again guys. Fancy dropping the bike like that. But how amazing was it that passers by just help out and pick the bike up with you. Sweat! 👌 Don't expect the Mitas E07 Plus to do 20k. You could easy half that, if not more than half it. Looking forward to the next vid guys 👍
@Northandleftabit3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick, don't worry next video is nearly ready and will be uploaded over the weekend. It's surprising how easy it is to drop the bike on trips like this, but you do get tired and complacent that and when it's starts going due to the weight it's safest just to let it go haha yeah the EO7 did well but motoz was much longer lasting.

Yeah it wasn't ideal. From memory we got our Indonesian, Indian and Pakistan visa's in Aus and we had to get the Pakistan 1 once he had our Indian Visa as India wouldn't grant you a visa if you had one for Pakistan The issue you have is some countries you can't get a visa over 3 months before your visit so for places like China etc we had to get them on the road in certain countries which was a challenge in itself

The wife and I left about 2 years before you guys. Our bike has now been marooned in Bulgaria for 2 years, but we expect to reunite with it this coming April and May and head east into Russia and beyond. My question is this. We've run mostly the Mitas E-07 on the rear and like it a lot and a Conti TKC80 on the front. I've not tried the Tractionator. What are your thoughts the Motoz v Mitas on the rear? I'll always stick with the Conti on the front, I was non plussed with the front E-07. Oh, what are your plans this coming northern summer as the world opens up?
@Northandleftabit3 жыл бұрын
I am very keen to do Africa when the world opens up. But I would like to take the DR650 with me. At the moment it seems that trying to ship my bike to Africa would be timely and very expensive. Apparently it will be a while before the shipping industry fully recovers from covid.
