Hello from Canada. I enjoy watching your videos and find them informative and entertaining. You must live near water, with so many birds in the background of your videos that sound much like seagulls. I have a question for you. As a restorer/collector/rider of vintage bikes, this summer I am riding my 1970 CB750 K0. It is a survivor in very very nice original condition. The seat is in excellent original condition and I am afraid of the 53 year old seat cover getting damaged during use, and I would like to put it away to preserve it, and use a restored seat for daily use. I do the same thing with my 1973 Z1. For my CB750, I have a pristine seat base and a very nice seat cover to make a restored seat for daily use. What I am missing is the seat foam. I've found only one source, which is in the link below. It is a little more expensive than I feel comfortable spending of foam, but to be fair, it looks to be an excellent reproduction. I have been more involved with Kawasaki triples and the Z1 with few contacts for Honda parts. Being a CB750 enthusiast, I am wondering if you have seen any sources in your travels? If not, I will likely buy that pricey foam from Japan. www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=295

Thanks for your kind words, yes we do live on the coast and they are seagulls! The foam does seem expensive, but it does look good quality. I haven't come across any other sources for pre-shaped foam. Personally I would look for a secondhand seat that has good foam, I would expect it to be a lot cheaper, to find one like that to recover. Good luck.

That original seat was hideous! Good job with the reshaping and new seat cover. Thanks for the instructional video.

Cheers, I was really pleased with the result in the end. :)
