Aluminium mesh and perspex also make good wheel disks. The aluminium mesh disk I made decades ago had all the cosmetic effects of a wheel disk with none of the disadvantages, both my motorbike and push bike had them at the time. my electric bike is currently rocking a perspex rear disk and it makes a helluva cool noise at full power.

Do you remove the brake disc when fitting your wheel discs or do a two piece wheel disc on the brake disk side? - - obviously asking for a friend 😂

To be honest I usually remove the brake disc and throw it away, as brakes seem like such a cowardly option :P
