I really like how the 1300 GS looks like. But I don't know why BMW thought that it would be a good idea that the shift lever is made of plastic. I mean we are talking about the Trophy-edition, which costs in Germany with some accessories more than 23.500 euro. Greetings from the other side of the earth. Really like the style of your channel. It looked pretty plain but protected which is what I like. Glad everybody was safe. Wish Clubby and Nuggett could have been along. Sure they were working like dogs on a bone. To be frank. I'm not impressed. That KLiM vest doesn't suit my type of adventure. What I find irritating is the activation button and status lights are on the back. One inflation and having to charge during the ride. I'm tempted to buy the new Alpinestar duel canister one.

It's fantastic that BMW puts on these events. No wonder GSs are selling very well, and while the Pan America is a great bike (without the BMW rattles) is IMO, dead in the water. No point in HD wanting to enter the Adv bike scene but then not truly supporting the bike outside of the USA. HD doesn't even offer an off-road ride activity at it's annual Australian HOG rallies.

I do watch other people ride from the window while sipping my coffee. Some churn up the parking. You've got good mechanical sympathy over the stutter bumps. My OilHead made the same sounds and I assumed it had something to do with the shaft and final drive. It may be something you can't hear in an enclosed shell. All was fine after more than 200k km's.

Didn’t come across as an advertisement to me. It was more about the trip and what people were doing than the brand. I don’t ride BMWs and didn’t feel I was trying to be sold one as is the case on other Safari videos for various brands. If anything it showed the additional difficulties and level skill required on these big bikes in terrain less skilled riders on trail/Enduro would eat up with ease.

You can tell how much of a pig that thing is with how much it struggles to get through the water crossings even with all that torque and HP.
@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV2 ай бұрын
Your view is completely at odds with the video before your eyes. Multiple river crossings are filmed and from my experience actually riding the bike it cruised through the majority but as stated sometimes it doesn't go well and a rock, the size of a football puts you off as what happened to me. That happens with all bikes. Also you comment about torque and HP is completely at odds with my experience actually riding the bike. The bike pulls from nothing and the clutch, once warm allows you to get that power to the ground. I have no doubt a 21 inched front wheel would do a better job.
