For any current 35 owners don’t attempt to do a radiator flush or any hose replacement if you don’t have a coolant system refill kit , chances are you can bleed it by the bleeder valve but will take you all day if not 2 , but at the end of the day there will always be air in the system if not vacuumed out

Great video and much respect my man. Just a note- a radiator fitted funnel makes the bleeding process much quicker... I've done it multiple times on my G: the air will rise out of the funnel as you rev the motor and you can crack the bleeder valve intermittently to help

Great landscapes & coolant bleeding well explained. Your patience helped me to bleed the small 1.5dci engine in my nissan. The heating core didnt work when I took it from the dealership. Now, after 3 rounds of bleeding with the front on a slope no more air in the system :-)

After I did my swap I had such an issue bleeding my coolant system the air would not come out till I had this brilliant idea. I took one of those hand pumps put the hose on the overflow tube come out with the other hose in the gallon of antifreeze and kept pumping and pumping till I knew for sure no air was coming out the bleeder valve. I kept getting air to the point it blew apart my bleeder valve. They break easy. If you need a bleeder valve you can use a piece that comes in the Preston coolant flush kit at Walmart works mint

Great & informative video! Only thing i want to add is to remember to screw back the plug underneath BEFORE you start pouring coolant in so it doesn’t immediately drain and waste the bottle of coolant you got. I almost made this mistake and I’m sure others might as well.

cool vid mate. very similar bleeding rb engines.[ like in my r32 skyline I had] only difference is. you could keep bleeder valve out ,when running the engine. to bleed. but same process you did. along process. and recheck when its cold. nice one. keep it coming

Hey man this was a very awesome video my car was overheating suddenly so I decided to replace the thermostat and it was still over heating then I replaced the radiator and still over heating then I followed your instructions and the overheating went away. I believe either the thermostat or the radiator was bad but I guess I didn’t bleed it properly right after I replaced both of the parts but anyways my car has a new thermostat and new radiator now after 100k miles which is good cause they will go bad eventually but if it wasn’t cause of your video I would have probably replace the water pump or something else so thank you very much.

@@augustarellano197 My overheat issue was due to radiator fan. If you can't feel it moving air when your looking down at the fan it is likely the cause. I was getting good readouts on my thermostat so quickly rules that out. Radiator fan is pretty common cause of overheating behind thermostat.

You can just remove radiator cap (when cold)start car with cap off and full blast heater and watch all the air bubbles come out and have the car even not jacked up 👌

Justin Mateo fill up radiator with fluid when engine is cold till u see its full then with the cap off start the car and then start the heater on full blast and just keep a eye on the radiator and keep adding fluid if needed and u should see air bubbles come out let it idle for a lil while you should know when its good then shut the car after u feel its done. top off the radiator and put the cap back on and you should b good check it next morning to b safe and thats it

That's what I do but I do it with the engine running that way the fluid flows faster and you don't has to do this again and again , just make sure to refill the radiator reservoir to let the system fill with more fluid.

Its a pain checking the bleed valve over and over, I do mine with a "no spill" funnel from the front radiator cap to bypass this problem. It mitigates having to constantly open and check the bleed valve. No air in the line either because the consistent fluid kept it tye funnel is gravity feed from the highest point on the engine. Just a future tip. My water pump is still clean never changed it

I won't lie I didn't have a bleeder valve on my Infiniti but I went and bought one and put it on there and I can say one thing that you did do wrong you should have drain the coolant while the car was at ground level it would have drained more fluid

After bleeding and burping the system a bunch of times, my issue was a head gasket on my 2010 FX35 with 170K miles on it. Dropped off on Wednesday to do water pump, chains, and all gaskets, i guess i'll be picking it up next week sometime.

How long does it take to bleed out the coolant system. It’s day 3 so far for me and I’m lowkey concerned. I do have some mods for the cooling system (Nismo Thermostat, CSF radiator and Mishimoto fans). I only did these mods cause I live in Arizona and it easily get to 110 on the most random of days

@@vgyvgoiy ..No rattling noises. Mine is from TBW which stands for toll booth willey. It is powdercoated black and is aluminum. Jon in Vegas had these shields first before z1. If you are old enough, you will know toll booth willey is from an old Adam Sandler skit which is hilarious. That was Jon's name on the fourms before he started his business and he kept his screen name for the business.

Are your radiator fans broke? Once the engine radiator temps hit 195-200 the electric fans kick on. This always happens when the car is not moving. Doesn't sound like a bleeder problem.

@@austinbradley3411 ...so you bought a nismo radiator cap and a nismo thermostat. Any particular reason you believe you need these? Your street car is not a race car. You do realize a nismo thermostat opens much sooner than an OEM thermostat and the nismo radiator cap increases pressure raising the boiling point. I choose not to run nismo thermostat and cap for a reason on my street car that is dyno tuned.

Only if your having overheating problems. You will know that the thermostat is out when you have never had that issue before and one day it just starts to climb. Then the next day will be fine. That when you know your thermostat is going out. 👍🏻👍🏻

Topping it off. You would quickly figure out the other way is impossible. You are not draining fluid out of the system, you are getting the air out.
