Thank you Anne. This weekend was particularly special to me as it brought back memories of my mother and step-father. When Sue and I first met in 1978 we used to visit on our motorbike. Many of the buildings are still the same but the village has grown and modernised no end. 😃 Trev

Some more memories for me in Mendlesham Trev and Sue. I started my First aid there, which gave me the bug to study when I moved to Essex to become a St John's Ambulance volunteer. The standard you had to reach was very high but I really enjoyed the challenge and of course helping people. Mendlesham is a lovely village isn't it. I might try that site and visit my old village of Debenham sometime. ~ Lin xx

Mendlesham still seems to be away from the crazy towns and village life does still exist. With Stowmarket, Ipswich, Diss and Eye all a car journey away, the village seems to have kept its rural charm despite the dozens of new houses that have appeared in the last 20 or so years. hi Poshcats, I've been following you for a while, just subscribed and enjoying the videos, im hoping to swap my bailey phoenix caravan for something like a Hillside Birchover or Autocampers Leisure van and was wondering what make the freestanding shelters were? can you get them in air assembly suitable for 1 person and do you think they are better than driveaway awnings? they certainly seem easier and more flexible thanks James

It’s great value and ideal as a drive away awning. It’s probably not an all year round product, nor is it an awning you can sleep in. We use it for shelter and storage on the pitch.
