Morning, you were asking for nice places to stop on the way back through Spain. We had 2 days in a free aire in Geldo. Water and toilet discharge and all free. Nice little town and public swimming pool next door. Or take a walk to the castle in Segorbe. Worth a stopover

Spotted you leaving the service point outside of Javea (Ha-v-ah) wanted to add you seem to have missed Javea old town too 🤷🏽‍♀️ The height barrier you said about has not been taken down, it just has not gone up yet. I love that mix of temperatures, "summer" days and cool nights to aid sleep. I bet the dogs love it too. If you go south of Benidorm, you'll find El Campello where there is the remains of a Roman fish farm. Lots of options for park ups in that area too.

You are doing right. Small area covered well rather than dashing around. Thats just what we do. Not sure if you know about the walk through that big rock at Calpe. There is a car park close to the base, soil but we have parked there twice with no issues. Wear good shoes. It goes right into the rock. Have a nice day dolly and pipper.

Go to Valencia area, loads beautiful places up there. Have great time. We originally travelled around Spain for a few years then settled in one area because of the fuel cost. We though it was funny how the locals wore winter clothes in the sun but i suppose they are used to the sun and think its cold.

Guadalest with its castle is a spectacular place to visit. It's just inland from Benidorm and this is the best time of year to go there as during the summer months it's very popular and gets crowded.

Had a few years holidaying in Moriara, car park is central to everything. Market is excellent. Calpe has old and new town, we have caught train from Calpe to Benidorm. Enjoy. 😊

They are always good and reliable, our favorite supermarket .That church was beautiful , the ceiling really does look like the bottom of a boat. Evening, we are about a week in front of you in Spain, currently down at mojacar. We did Benners but like you, particularly not our scene but worth a look. Definitely head to Villajoyosa, beautiful town plus there is a cheap tram to take you back to Benners or cost us just €3.40 return to go too Alicante. Trouble will be finding a spot to park up, but lovely town.

Hiyah. 0 degrees C this morning in my area at 9am. 3/4 hour drive down to my large town for Supermarket shop, 24 degrees C. By mid afternoon temperature 27degrees C. The poor plants can’t cope. Almond blossom sprouting already! Glorious but too early. Snow could decimate the blossom, and almond crop for the year!! Just filled up with diesel for my drive back to UK tomorrow. €1.29. Find the independent garages near, or in industrial areas. For diesel stay away from the large multiples who are much pricier. Will fill up again just before I cross into France. So much more expensive. Enjoy your trip. Love to doggies from my two Bedlingtons, Bo and Blue. Xx

My area is not really touristy though the countryside is beautiful, thousands of Almond trees. I suppose Huercal Ouvera is a pretty town, as is Lorca, but more showing how ordinary Spanish, British, Europeans, live. Almeria and Murcia Cities do have lots of old buildings. I suppose that coast line is more touristy. The most beautiful road to travel is the A7 from Malaga up to Motril and beyond. Granada is wonderful. You can fork off that way. However, take the Almeria fork and see the miles of plastic polytunnels. Unbelievable. Tomato and pepper growing, staggering. Because the sun is so hot, to ensure even sized fruit for the European and British Supermarkets, they grow under plastic where irrigation and nutrients can be controlled. That road though up to Motril, then through the Sierra Nevadas to Granada. Wow. It took years to build, tunnels, bridges, fantastic. That road is an absolute must. Enjoy your travelling. Xx

@@redsgotravels👍Spain is definitely an experience, especially when you move away from tourist areas. Great roads. Surprisingly, many abandoned houses in small villages. Sad the older people die and youngsters move to the large towns for work, and night life. Spain, especially the internal areas is just so big! Enjoy your visit. Bo and Blue send your girls love. 😂

Not sure when you plan to start travelling back. but a visit the almond groves. Villajoysa is a good starting point. Relleu is a small village ideal for enjoying the almond trees in blossom.they bloom in feb There are many walks and you can see what they produce from the almonds and get to taste some of them. Or a visit to Girona or surrounding areas to see the many cork trees. Or visit the Salvador Dali museum, and house in Figueres. maybe visit Banyoles and the lake. The roman/greek ruins just outside Roses. are just a few places I still remember from my misspent youth.

Loving the video's, a typical day in van life Spain. Hopefully not long until I'm doing the same with my wife and Welsh terrier poodle Rufus (who cries when he sees dolly on the TV!) . If you're going anywhere near Gibraltar I can recommend a SUPERB tapas restaurant on the Spanish side just before the border crossing. Honestly the best tapas I have ever had and a very authentic experience. It fills up within an hour of opening. Bar La Chimenea, C. Moreno de Mora, 21, 11300 La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz. I was there for an interview in Gibraltar so I didn't have much time to explore the town itself so I can't really comment on it. But the food and wine in this restaurant is just amazing. Good to see you have found Moraira, we have had a house there for 20 years and spend about 5 months a year there. If you like music and dance go to Saxo disco bar which is just at the end of where you are parked up. Live music at about 6.00pm and you will be younger than most of the people there!

We avoid the hotter months as it can be quite harsh on the dogs, the pavements become too hot to walk on and even life in the van is uncomfortable, many sites have hook up, but not enough amps to run air con… if you can be selective about when you visit, that’ll be easiest .. summer is hot ❤️🙂🙂

Make sure you walk down to el Portet beach, before leaving Moraira. Walk along coast road, past harbour keep walking and you will come to the beach. If you could pop up and water our plants before you leave it would be appreciated😂

Good morning Ronnie and Shirley ! We use a £24.99 asda special air fryer , the cheapest they do … ! We have 2 sets of foldable panels, total power 100 plus 120 , so 220 watts , as the s1500 has 2 inputs we use two solar panels at once which bumps the charge , a full day will recharge it easily , we also have a 12 volt charger via the socket in the van , in addition our van has 350 watts of panels up top 🙂 hope that helps and thanks for watching xx

Sorry to add another thread about pet passports. But I’m struggling to understand. So if we get a pet passport for our boys this September when their rabies jabs are due, from a vet in the EU, we can use that instead of papers every time? Or do we need papers as well to get back into the UK?

Hi! Yes it can seem quite complex, but I’ll explain it best I can here. So, you go out in September on an AHC, go to the vet in Bruges and she will give your dog a rabies vaccine and mark it in the new passport, you won’t be able to use the passport immediately as it will look like your dogs first rabies vaccine, so you need to leave 21 days before the passport is fully valid. This means if you are travelling back within 21 days of the vaccine she gives your dog, you will need to use the AHC to get back into UK. However if you are travelling back after 21 days, then the passport is fully valid. If you still aren’t sure email me on [e-mail] and I’ll help you through it all ❤️

Hi Mark, no issues so far, no signs up, I would imagine in the busier season the locals struggle to park and the market can’t set up , it’s beautiful here at present, about 40 to 50 vans on the gravel at the back of the car park, nobody taking the mickey with awnings and chairs out , so alls good 🥰❤️ ( so far ) xx

we paid £100 for 2 poodles to have pet health certificate from Abbeywell vets in Folkestone its all done on line and you pick up the certificate on your way to the ferry/train vets in Cardiff area were quoting £300 per dog
