I don't have a Commodore or magna, but I have a late 70s celica, I came across a guy who in the late 80s bought a second hand celica and contacted Toyota and purchased an entire interior New old stock! A week later the car was T boned and the entire NOS interior sat in his father's garage for over 30 years forgotten, until I purchased the entire set off him! A true unicorn find! All in original packaging! I couldn't believe it!

This is amazing! This series is definitely close to my heart - I owned a TJ Magna Executive in the early 2000's for close to 6 years and always wanted the VRX parts to upgrade my car (especially the silver and black steering wheel). The parts were so expensive or hard to come by, even then, so I'm absolutely blown away that you still found a lot of what you did. That Ralliart steering wheel for the win though! Well done! Thanks also for spreading the Mitsubishi Magna love too! To me, they were just as Aussie as the Falcons and the Commodores of the day and I'm thankful that you've saved a top tier Magna from the scrap heap! Great work!

I was watching Ross's Reviews today about the Rallyart he drove. Saw your comments and low and behold minutes later, this update popped up. It looks brilliant. I also knew someone who would always drive his v6 Capri GT with driving gloves on. Well done and good work.

Car looks incredible! Those Ralliart Momo's were being sold off by Mitsubishi for $100 each when they were clearing out all their old stock. Many of us Magna guys bought them for our Execs. Make sure you put some sort of protection on it, the red wears crazy fast. You'll see heaps of 2nd hand ones where the red is almost gone.

Kudos to Scott on his amazing work on the Ralliart. Seeing it rubbed back it looks as though while it was being painted that they never replaced the filters, hence the crap. I hope you let Scott promote his work via the Ralliart. Unobtainium, I have a set of OEM 1/4 glass windows for the VU-VZ utes. Holden still had them & in 2016 I bought THE last set. They are still wrapped & in their boxes. I was offered $900 for them recently & I've knocked it back. I was back in my home town of Port Macquarie recently with my mate's Holden VE SV6 ute. His hard lid & bonnet were up for prep & paint. I spent a total of 26 hours blocking & sanding it to get the imperfections out. The bonnet I spent 10 hours as it needed PDR to get rid of the hail damage. Came out excellent. When I drove back home, me mate couldn't believe the work gone into it. Another great video Sean, can't wait for you to show the Ralliart off to everyone.

Looks amazing, the dark Sable pearl brings back memories from 22-24 years ago.. Hopefully I can get my car (Mine is a 2000 TJ sports same colour as the one at 16:46) like this. The red and black steering wheel is the correct one. Don't worry, these cars (esp the Ralliart, and the rarer Sports wagons and yellow VR-X's) will certainly get their value one day, not quite the value of a XY Falcon but still good value. Pretty sure the Mitsubishi logo at 24:05 is correct and the badges are in the correct position.

As the Magna was the Mitsubishi Diamante in the US and essentially the same Diamante in Japan, surely those door latches must be around... For aesthetics, I reckon those wheels need pushing out about 20mm in each corner. Takes it away from stock though... BTW, steering wheel looks great - well done Andrew!
@brantleyfoster0215 ай бұрын
The Mitsubishi Diamante 30M was very powerful in comparison to the Australian offerings for a NA. It had the 6G72 motor which was only a 3.0L, but it cranked out 201kw. Mitsubishi Australia always seem to detune the car's very heavily from their JDM counterparts. It also had cylinder shutting technology like the Hemi's, so it could deliver incredible fuel economy. Wish Australia didn't detune them so heavily.
