Nice video. I'm "electronically challenged", so could you explain how to do the limit switches? How to just let the controller let the limit switch to stop the carriage. Thanks again.

+Frankie e Hi Frakie; thanks for your interest. I found an circuit online that illustrates this: www.next.gr/uploads/85/limit_schematic.gif The circuit provides direction reversal (manual; not automatic like in my video) and limit switches . I would suggest also adding another switch in series with the battery to turn the whole thing ON/OFF.

+Inquisitve m Hi, thanks for your feedback. If you look at most sliders out there, they are about the same size or even shorter. I actually had to make the travel shorter at one point by adding the extra switch with a clamp (shown towards the end of the video). That said, you can make it whatever length you would like just by getting a longer piece of wood:)
