I've had the phone for a week, and I have no problems. The battery life is actually pretty good. I stream ALLLLLL DAY, as well as games I can go a whole day. I've got cases with screen protector included, I also got a Matte front screen protector all from Amazon and I got them in 2-3 days. Just depends on what you trying to get. The 3.6 putter display is everything. Samsung will have a 3.4 folder display and it doesn't look appealing compared to this. RAZR has a big 6.9 display and Samsung still rocking the 6.7 so as of now Moto RAZR plus is my fav for now.

I like this phone way better than my Flip 3 and Flip 4. The flip 5 isn’t going to be much of an update on the camera. So went with the Motorola Razr+ and I’m glad I did. The pictures look way better on the Motorola than my Flips. No regrets here.

Very. Considering from the previous RAZR this is much needed. If Samsung would have did the 3.6 outer screen, n not 3.4 folder look. I'd consider it. The 3800mah and 8+ Gen 1 is working just fine on the battery.. I start my day at 6a and by 1:30p I'm just under 60% no BS...If u haven't already got a case Amazon has them. I literally got mine in 1-2 days. The Matte screen protector looks soooooo good. Like I said NO COMPLAINING here.

A lot of Manufacturers won't make screen protectors for it, because when Samsung was developing the Galaxy Fold, the cat was let out of the bag that these folding phone screens aren't glass at all, but a type of plastic that you CAN NOT drop, or let things such as dirt/sand get into.

Your concerns are not mine. I had an original that came out in 04. Best phone I've ever had. I now have a 3rd generation 20 model. And I have had no problems with the hinge or updates. I plan on getting this model because I like the fact it tucks away nicely in my shirt pocket and doesn't protrude half a foot out.Cameras aren't an issue either. If I want quality images I'll bring along my slr and I'm not narcissistic enough to worry about selfies.

Coming from a long time Samsung user, I have to say that Motorola really did a fantastic job on this phone. I had the Z flip 3 for a while, hoping and praying the price of the flip 5 would drop, but it hasn't dropped all that much since the 6 came out. Last week the screen on my flip went completely orange. Couldn't see a thing. I was hopeful for it to come back, but after 2 hours of my patience being tested I snapped it in half. In a pinch I needed a phone. Browsing through eBay, I came across this phone priced at 249.00 which is what I spent for my Z flip 3, so I took a chance, and I'm more than pleasantly surprised and glad that I did. From my experience so far, this beats Samsung in a few ways, at least the older models. I haven't seen the Flip 6 yet, but I feel like I upgraded. I wasn't a huge fan of the bar style volume button, but with this phone they are independent up and down buttons. There are some features I am not enjoying, but I am still learning the ins and outs of it. I love the camera. Seems more crisp and clear. Smart too. The front screen automatically makes the screen brighter at night for good selfie shots. The crease is nearly invisible, and when I scroll it is not even that noticeable. The flip itself seems stiff. Opening it I need two hands. The fingerprint scanner is really responsive and accurate. Face recognition is instant. My Z flip 3s battery was atrocious, and so far my moto razr has been off the charge for 5 hours and it is still near 80 percent. I definitely think it'll last more than a day since I don't use my phone all that much throughout the day. The software doesn't bother me. I have had a Samsung for so long, and the change to this is kinda nice. If anyone is looking for a really good phone, id recommend this one over a Z flip right now, and I am sure the moto razr plus 2024 version is even better than this one.

After 3 months, a thick black line sprung up along the hinge. The top half of the screen stopped working at the same time. I loved the phone and was super careful with it (in a case, never dropped, and careful opening and closing it) and simply opened it one day and it just developed a black line on the screen. It was difficult to get it replaced under warranty but finally got it replaced. Now so worried about folding it. Right now, I am just keeping it open. It is stupid to have a phone you can't use the major selling feature on (the outside screen) because I am too scared to fold it and have the same problem happen again. I would NOT buy this phone and I'm really irritated I have it.

that's weird that you mention that I was in Best Buy looking at the one on the floor and all of a sudden it got two black spots on the screen and it wouldn't go anywhere, and of course you can't move the phone cuz they have it on the cord so I don't know how that happened it just came out of the blue which I thought was weird and I just ordered one of those phones yesterday. I just bought one a few days ago and I'm returning it, I'm to nervous about my phone what happened to you will happen to my phone. Its not worth having a phone that makes you nervous to open and shut. Everyone talking about how great this phone hasn't had it long enough to complain. It's an expensive phone to have so many problems. I have 13 days to return it and I'm returning it tomorrow. Maybe in a few years they will get better. The thing about the back / fold screen and scratches, sure it can get keyed up but a nonflip phone has one screen that can be scratched up to if not careful. As long as they have a screen protector for that phone it should be fine.

If anyone wants to buy it, please read what I wrote. Problems with accessories: This phone came out not long ago when this one did the review. Now there are a lot of accessories. Not only Amazon, also, for example, Aliexpress or other sites. This includes cases. Another important thing: Every company has software, this Motorola is friendly and less clumsy to use than Iphone. If you buy the phone in the EU, it is called Razr 40 Ultra. And in the package, not only do you have a cable and charger, but there is also the original case. Screens break, everyone knows that. Only if you look somewhere other than, for example, Amazon, you will find, for example, a protection glass for the small screen, and also a film or something like that for the large screen. As for updates I do not comment. I my Samsung has not updated for a year and lives, all is well with it. Dust resistance: I don't know, I don't live in a desert or somewhere. I don't know how you have to be abnormal for the screen to die after, say, 2 weeks of use. Do you guys push this screen so hard to specifically smash it and switch to an Iphone?

So i just got this phone. i wnated a flip phone but the samsungs feont screen wont let you use every app like the razr. I have a cute case for my phone. The phone to me is amazing so far. The camera aint as great as the pixel i had but im not huge on photos anyway. It does take pretty good photos. Get the phone people its worth it. The thing's hes complaining about arent huge.

Honestly, all the stuff you talked about, I don't care. I'm intersted in this phone is because I like the look, I like the design being a foldable, and the price being down to 699 for a 256GB storage phone. The price isn't bad at all comparing to a 256GB phone from Apple. The only thing I concern about is whether or not the foldable plastic screen can withstand at least 3 years of normal use. You didn't mention anything about that at all.

In the US, I don't know. In the EU, it's called the Razr 40 Ultra, comes with a cable, charger, and the original case. Maybe it's only in the US that they try to be “cool=eco”

The phone is attractive to look at but I returned my razr + in 2 days because of several factors- it' simply did not live up to the hype- the dealbreaker for me was the camera which was horrible pictures look creepy and strange- The other dealbreaker was the outer screen and false advertising- The screen was not impressive mainly because most intervet videos like KZbin and others are not configured to fill the entire screen so what ya get is a matchbook to look at and other annoying features like the thumbprint what a joke- People get caught up in the prettyness of the phone but it's also delicate so I sent my razr right back and got a cheaper phone that took much better pics

This phone is so shockingly bad! 33 days old and the oLED screen is already showing lines and pixel damage! Motorola warranty will not honour the repair and I'm stuck on a 2 year contract unable to return because I'm 3 days over the 30 day trade in deadline for faulty devices. I'm not the only one, there are hundreds of people on Reddit complaining about the razr models. Id stick with Samsung or Google pixels, they will look after you and make quality phones that last! Sorry you read that way wrong but oh well what can you do. Anyways other things can make pictures look good however samsung lacks in that department. I used to have the oneplus 9 pro let me tell you something that phone had a way better camera then the samsung galaxy s22 ultra. Plus samsung has other problems with thier phones besides the camera that makes it lack. All that horse power with having a snapdragon 8 gen 2 and 12 gigs of ram yet nothing in the phone to keep it cool while gaming. Yes the moto phone lacks this as well but the moto phone doesn't get as hot as quickly as samsung phones do gaming high demanding games. It takes longer to hover heat. Samsung 30 seconds into running something has power as a switch game on it witch you can do if you know how to emulate will over heat the samsung in around 30 seconds moto takes about 2 minutes to hit that same heat level so it's safer when over heating however both suck for heating problems moto is better in that regard. You can't pack all this power in a phone yet make nothing to keep it cool that's setting the phone up to burn out and fail. And since the screen is plastic I can Imagine the screen will stop working if done to much to quickly. Other devices have way more ram like the red magic pro running 16 gigs of ram and has the same snapdragon 8 gen 2 inside. But do you know the big difference they have a cooling fan in the phone with vents on the side to give the phone air flow. Something both samsung and moto need to do with thier phones. And do you know the best part the phone is only 899 100 dollars less then both phones yet its more powerful and has a built-in cooling system. Both moto and samsung could learn a thing or two from them. At the end the flip 5 is trash compared to the moto. Both have the same screen yet the moto has 165ghz were the samsung only has 120 and trust me that makes a big difference when watching something and gaming.

I love cases to, my 14 Pro I have like 20 different cases. I just love them, it’s clothes for your phone. Every case for the razor it’s taking like a month I still don’t have a case, first time ever I have gone this long with no case on my phone. I do love the razor, but speakers they could have done better. Battery life for the first day was awful, each day it gets better. I am really liking this phone, they should have priced it at $800 instead of a $1000 though.

If you lower the refresh rate in the settings you will have way better battery. 165hz is overkill for a phone that’s the same as gaming monitors for super competitive stuff.

I have this phone and I don't care about the cameras, I do have concerns about the updates but, didn't stop me from getting the phone. As for the software, I am a pixel person so that actually attracted me to this as opposed to a samsung, everything and including the kitchen sink software. The hardware doesn't worry me and I had a case from the day I got the phone at launch.

I have used cell phones since they were the size of car batteries. Of thousand or so phones I have owned, none have had cases or many accessories when the phone first debuted. The reason, why would I want to manufacture phone cases, for example, if the phone turns out to be a dud. All case and accessory makers WAIT for a few months before even deciding to maybe some day start making those products. You fancy yourself a tech expert, seems you would have known this. Regarding updates, I have had Motorola phones for the past three years. ALL OF THEM HAVE UPDATED ANDROID and MOTO on a timely basis. Giving you a thumb down dude.

motorola is one of the slowest oem to do updates for sure- i have reached out to alot of case companies that are not making cases for this phone

Any 'review' that keeps stating 'maybe' as in 'maybe you will be worried about the hinge' is just conjecture. I had a Zflip4 and the screen failed after 5 months so bad things can always happen with new tech. That's the fun of being an early adopter. There's always a reason not to but fortune favours the brave. If you wait for perfection you'll never buy another bit of kit.

Did you say you might not pick up for the features. I absolutely hate Xiaomi's ugly UI, constant glitches and the horrible way they made Android look ugly. You can't even swipe left to get rid of notifications. The features of the UI become useless if the whole OS is so ugly, unresponsive and just cluttered. The razr not only has a beautiful clean Motorola UI with little to no bloatware and whatever they supply on top of Android is very useful. I can understand other reasons and I can even understand some people liking the One UI ( to me it deosn't look as good as stock Android even though they do include some useful features) and I generally think ONE UI is very good on my tavlet but too much bloat as usual . Xiaomi's software on the other hand is just pure trash, If you want bloatware I prefer Oxygen OS much more than the rubbish stuff Xiomi provides.

I returned mine as the battery was weak. Was very buggy and screen was unresponsive. I was waking up to it not taking a charge. I loved the phone but too many flaws. Maybe next year.

I switched over from the Samsung flip 3 to this phone. The only thing I really miss on this phone is the AOD. Why isn't this on this phone with that big outer screen. And I don't like this kind of software. I hope that Motorola change this with updates. Camera is nice. Better than the Flip 3. But that is not that important for me.

I had no problem getting cases or screen protectors. My case has a built in screen protector for the external display. Also there is already a screen protector on the inside screen.

My face gets sweaty and my sweat got into the phone extremely easy, the phone is not sealed like most phones, if you like working out the phone will be useless within a month and you have to spend a bunch of money to be able to carry it around, this phone completely turned me off to foldable screens and the middle of the phone has a big folded line on it,

I know that Samsung is not gonna have a deal like that without a trade in. I would rather have the flip 5. This phone is nice too but like you said, Motorola isn't good at updating their stuff.

I had it for 3 days so far. I like it a lot but my concern is the OS Android. I want to use Messenger for many account and unlike Samsung to install dual messenger, I have to install parallel Space and it works great. The only problem is the “notification” as I do not get notifications from Parallel Space for new messages. Sometimes I got notifications sometimes not. So, not sure about the Android! Same issue with the Samsung Z Flip for notifications. So I know it is not the phone, it is the OS as Android not rigid as iOS. Will use more and see if I will keep it.
