Ok, I know rock crawling/trail style running by nature does a lot of damage to a truck but this truck has endured extra brutality after likely years of faithful service as a work truck. As penance you are henceforth challenged to put the truck back in running order.

I love its there own show like it’s not like they’re trying to copy from something else like that stupid top gear that’s on here where they try to be like other top gears and they’re probably just on there because they want to be on top gear unlike these guys who actually have a passion for 4x4 driving and building trucks it’s just genuine content

I always keep wD-40 on me when trying to wash my engine at the local car wash (with self pressure wash bays) I fortunately had some on me for the first time in 15 years of doing so with my 94 ford Lightning. A week ago I had a problem for the first time in those 15 years of ownership and a bit of WD-40 was the fix!

ya all ain't living until yer sideways at 60mph through a corn field and have the barn appear 4' from yer front bumber then disappear again a moment later... the spark plug thing should be mentioned if your motor spends any time wrong side up as well... the oil finds its way to the top of the cylinders... a helluva lot faster then ya might think too.

@@450moto9 I've never had a breakdown in my dodges. I've learned that honestly every brand has good and bad runs but people break down all the time cause they don't take care of their vehicles and then blame it on the brand. People don't check their fluids, don't change their oil and don't run injector cleaner ever and go why does it run bad. I bought a dodge ram 2500 and it fixed a lot of issues simply changing the oil, running some injector cleaner and changing the overly corroded battery terminals. They didn't change the oil in two years and it was so bad it smelled like pure gas. It's fine it was just a mixture of really bad oil and stabilizer. Nothing short of a miracle the truck was even still running. Still more work to do but with what I have had done it runs about like a new one and it has 177k on it. You can't run any vehicle without doing any work on it but sadly that is what people expect.
@450moto92 жыл бұрын
It’s not just about changing the oil. Changing the oil won’t fix ball joint issues or dashboard cracking or transmissions blowing up
@ambersdarkfox2 жыл бұрын
@@450moto9 Got no dash cracking in mine which all you really need to do is open your windows to let it air because if there is too much heat you can have a cracked dash. Then put on some armor all to give it some UV protection. It's partially on you if you are not taking steps to protect your dash. I know it can be annoying wiping down the dash especially in a big truck like mine but it's really not that hard. Walmart sells a pack of 20 wipes for like two bucks. Ball joints is a moving part that can wear out on anything. Buy them off of rock auto and they really aren't that expensive. I put new ones in mine and it really wasn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. Some people don't ever throw any grease up in them and that can lead to premature failure anyway. (edit to add in 177k miles that truck has had maybe one or two changes and the guy I bought it from hauled a lot of heavy loads cause it was his work truck. ) Transmissions is something every brand seems to have an issue with. There are some substandard ones in every brand and then not every shop gets them fixed right. Not having any issues out of mine in any of my dodges really. However, you can run into transmission issues in all brands. Not a dodge exclusive problem.

Pull the plugs turn it over pumping most water out the system, let sit with cap off for about a week with the hood open. Oh yeah spray something other than wd 40 and put the plugs in hand right. Write a note of everything you’ve done, read it before starting, use your head and it should run. Lol
