I'm building a hand-built death-trap. It's a 1983 Nissan Patrol Safari two door. All Chevy drive train. 5.7 liter LT1 from a 1995 Impala SS, TH400 w/NP205 twin stick transfer case with Dana 60 front and GM 14 bolt full floater rear axles with 4.56 gears on 35" tires. Enough to get me in trouble...

Lamborghini are nice, they are beautiful, they are fast, and they are worthless, you're not allowed to use that speed and the fuel consumption, taxes, and insurance defeat having it for attention. Furthermore there are highways where you can drive 130 k/m. On these highways there is virtually no speedcontrol at all. Which means people are also driving as fast as they want. So for the german customers a lambo is not just for the looks. They can legally drive it on public highways at max speed. Btw i drove a lot on german highways, and its quite cool when you can legally drive as fast as you car goes.

in theory... you're half right. First off: concerning the speed control: do you mean the No Speedlimit ones or the 130km/h ones ? because on the 130km/h ones there is Speed Control. Only you barely see it if you are not going too fast. The other thing: Drive as fast as you want ??? yeah maybe in theory. In reality you barely get past 200km/h due to other people being in you way.

I have driven in germany during nights and its max speed without much obstruction. As for speed controls, I dont know. I havent encountered any kind of speed control on 130 km/h highways, and germans just drive 170/180 on these without caring much. So I assumed there are basically no speed controls on these highways.

Once an old lady parked her Aventador next to my truck and i asked her if i can take a few pics and maybe sit in it. She said yes, so i did and that was my first and only encounter with an Aventador. It was weird because, after she turned the car off, there was a noise coming out of the side vents behind the doors like some kind of cooling fans were on. It lasted for at least 10 min...Not sure what it was. Cool looking car though :)

Your rat rod is luxurious. My '32 Plymouth coup rat rod didn't have a seat, and the floor pan was a 1 ft. wide piece of plywood that spanned the frame and wasn't even bolted down. It slid back on acceleration, and was stopped by the roll bar. The bad front U-joint and the open driveshaft were a bit of a concern though. Thanks for the memories. You guys are having way too much fun!

It's also more fun to drive like I'm 17 so I drive a 2000 Ford focus hatchback and I I garentee it's more fun to drive than a lamborghini and slow speeds because it's more involved but at "high" speeds past 75-80mph it's scary because of how much wobble it has I should know I've had it going 102 before.

The Lamborghini is sooooo overrated. Lamborghinis are like the Azteks of sports cars. And 400k for something a 2014 ZR1 corvette could do for like 1/4 the price and you get more horse power 760 something I believe to the Lamborghinis 640 something. Buy the ZR1, a Rat Rod, Buy another ZR1, why not buy a couple Barret 50 cal

I am an average American with a good job but not rich and I don't have $400k collecting dust in my account to just go and buy a Lambo but then not really have it be a dream car for me. I am a guy who owns a sports car that I was lucky enough to have had it be available at the time and also be able to afford it.

If my country's legislation would allow it, I would buy for example an Opel Manta B, buy an LS3 engine, supercharge it, put it in, throw the original 2 liter engine out the window, hire some experts to build a custom drivetrain and suspension for the little Manta B:) Throw the interior trim out, build a rally-car like dash for the car, get some Sparco seats, a rollcage, a widebody, wider tires, functional aero, and rape most high-end sports cars.
