My father-in-law bought one of these fully loaded, brand new in 2003. I inherited it when he died 2 years ago, and had to put about $2500 into it. Love this truck. At $35,000 in 2003, it's about $58,000 in 2024. Only 79,000 miles on the odo.

Never liked the idea of steering rear wheels. That's six more ball joints to worry about replacing and hydraulic lines going to the back.

The front ends of the 03-07 Silverados are my least favorite of all Chevy trucks. I wish Chevy had just kept the same front end as 99-02. And even used that same front end on the Avalanche.
