The HF 3.6 DOHC is a GM engine inside and out. The 3.5 was the only Honda engine ever used and it was put into the Vue which will be getting the 3.6 in the next-gen model. How do you figure the 3.6 from the Outlook/Acadia/Enclave isn't the same engine found it the CTS? It is also used in the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac STS V6, Cadillac SRX V6, upcoming Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Equinox Sport, Pontiac G6, Pontiac Torrent GXP, and Saturn Aura. All GM vehicles, all GM motors.

My parents have a 2007 AWD base model,it leaked oil In a few places places since 2010 or so (valve cover, timing chain cover)few years back we had the trans rebuilt and about 10 minutes ago it decided that it wasn’t gonna go above 4th or go into 1th when you stopped. Luckily we were 5 minutes from home and we got there but it was like having a 4.56 rear axle because it was sitting at 3100 at 50mph, my parents are talking about buying a small Jeep SUV

The 3.6L V6 was designed all new for the 2004 Cadillac CTS by GM. This is not the 3.5L Honda V6 that was in the Saturn Vue...and the brand new Vue due out this fall will have this GM 3.6L V6. Also, this isn't from the original CTS 3.2 V6 as that engine was a narrow 54 or 52 degree V6. The 3.6L is a 60deg design.

In my opinion the GMC Acadia looks way better than this one. the options are pretty much the same. Though I like the front look of the Acadia and the curves of the car. Anopther great thing about a Gm vehicle is the fact that you can drive the car for 5yrs/160,000km and it would stillbe under warranty.

GM's 3.6L V6 is all GM...not even the same design as the Honda 3.5L. Only thing similar are 4 valves per cylinder and 60deg V design. The 3.6L has higher compression, higher redline, larger bore and stroke, and DOHC vs. SOHC for the honda, with a broader, flatter torque curve.

I think you might want to take a second look at even the 2003 TL interior. Its amazingly different than an accord and you would never be able to tell sitting inside. However, im not blind in my faith and will admit the 2004-2008 were ab it similar to the accord (im talking inside only). Gm makes decent cars now. But you must be joking if you think that that grey plastic interior of that age was better than the Japanese.

@@summerwestvevo1741 Ford blows big-time! Had the expedition, taurus and before that owned the explorer. Had to pay to have transmission fluid put in, cause there's no dipstick on the models I had 04 and 08. (Trucks) The transmissions in both truck's were crappy, despite buying both new. (Motors were strong) 4 catalytic converters, so when one goes bad you have to replace all 4, that and the sensors were a pain in the ass to get to. Had to pretty much remove the entire front end to get to them. Smh I'll never buy another Ford branded car. Sad thing is, I swore by Ford when everyone suggested not to buy. I'll say if, you go the Ford route don't buy used, unless you're your own mechanic. The tranny went in the taurus was a 2007 (new) drove it up until 120k. Miles. Was told it could've been plenty things even had work done to prevent it from crapping. But it ended up being none of thee above, after having the sensors fixed I parked it. Went back to start it and it wouldn't move.
